By USPS own tracking it is no longer in the UK so not with a UK Carrier. What did PBK's customer support actually say to you?

I don't know which carrier is moving the package before it hits the US (at which point USPS will take it). I'm merely referring to it as the "UK carrier" for lack of a better term. I would imagine it is with the same carrier until it reaches US customs whether it is in the UK or Netherlands.

As far as their responses:

July 17th -- I will raise this with our courier team to investigate and we will be in contact as soon as more information is available.
July 20th -- I apologize, this is under investigation by our courier team and we will be in touch with any further updates.
July 22nd -- This was sent to you on 06/07/2017 and delivery outside of the UK can take up to 30 days. If you have still not received the order by 06/08/2017, please let us know so that we can investigate this for you.

In essence "we known we promised you 3-8 days but we're actually not going to investigate the delinquency until it is about 5 times past due".

I ordered a pair of Zonda C17s from PBK in early 2017. The Shipping/Delivery to Canada was okay but the pricing was messed up ($40 difference). The first customer service rep told me I was eligible for the $40 refund. The second customer service rep said NO refund.
I was SOL & I will never order anything from these Sh*t-heads again.

Maybe it's in customs?
I had a wheelset coming from Europe "stuck" in european customs for one month...
The seller asked the carrier and was told they are waiting for customs to process it.
That was a very frustrating experience.

They are most likely in customs. That is it's own process and no amount of grief will move it any faster.

IIRC, the wheelset I ordered from them last summer took about 3+ weeks to arrive.

I ordered a set of Shamal C17s from them this past Friday, $707 shipped, I suspect they'll arrive mid August. At that price I can wait a bit.

That's what I thought as well but I talked to USPS over the phone last week and was told that the tracking would have updated to show that the item was received in the US and with customs.

Seems you missed an important part of my reply: you wrote:

versus this part of my posting (which you even quoted):

"european customs for one month..."

I had a terrible experience with them too for the one time I ordered from them (DA9000 Shifters+RD). Tracking never updated and never got the slip.. turns out the tracking number they gave me was wrong and it was being sent back by the time I found the correct one. By the time I was refunded it was around 3-4 months since the original order was sent lol. Might find some good deals on there but not worth the hassle... especially if you're on the West Coast (US).

I've bought tires and assorted smaller items from them at least twice. The packages have always arrived within about 2 weeks or so to the US east coast; sooner than probikekit predicted and no muss, no fuss. If you select the free/cheapest shipping option, you don't get tracking -- they tell you the date of shipping but that is all of the info you get. I've found the same to be true of other UK/Euro sites. You typically get what you pay for in that regard.

Luckily ive never had a problem with them. I've now had three parcels all delivered within two weeks from order to Australia. I know customs can be a bitch at times, i had a parcel take 5 months from jure. Hopefully it will arrive soon. !!

Have brought from PBK many times over the last few years............ can't recall any issues or delivery problems. One of my go-to suppliers for consumables and components. Actually a box of Campy stuff turned up today from them.......

I have ordered the R9100 chainset on the https://www.probikekit.co.uk/ for a super good price (£355 with a discount code that was available when I was ordering, now it's £441; we're talking about extreme sizes which are more expensive than the regular ones - 180mm in my case).

I was kinda skeptical given the reviews here but decided to give it a try, mainly because I just can't get 180mm cranks from my Shimano Rep. I noticed I can choose either the untracked or tracked shipping, both of them were free. I've chosen the tracked one and was glad to see it was sent to me by DHL.

Got the package today, it was secured really well. The whole process took less than a week (I ordered on Friday morning).

10/10, would recommend.

Still no updates on tracking or helpful updates from customer service on the status of their supposed "inquiry with the courier".

Spoke with others on a group ride today who had similar experiences from PBK. I would especially caution anyone in US the ordering from this vendor.

Out of interest why do you think it is PBK fault the parcel is taking a long time to be delivered / in customs? Surely as long as they dispatched the item within a resonable time they're not responsible for delivery times.

I've had good experiences with PBK with quick deliveries and easy returns. One thing I don't like though is the constant price changes. Managed to get some PowerTap P1S pedal for £420 a few weeks ago and now nearly £500.

From the posts in this thread, it looks like it really is just a location/international shipping problem rather than anything with the retailer itself. Once it's out the door of their warehouse it's out of their hands, stuck in customs limbo or not. If you specifically live on the West Coast of the US, I would recommend considering a different site unless they have a really good deal and you don't mind getting it in a month or so later.
