Not that pleasant an outlook for the guy facing battling huge lawsuits year after year. Presumably he doesn't have the cash to settle with all parties out of court?

I wonder what his mental state must be like. It's only going to get worse for him as he's reviled everywhere he goes (other than the dope hero worshipers, who must be a great crowd to associate with)

The basis of Armstrong's SCA Promotions case defense?
http://blogs.wsj.com/corruption-currents/2013/02/07/armstrong-is-sued-over-prize-money/ wrote:A spokesman for Armstrong said SCA had already settled its dispute with Armstrong in 2006, agreeing to pay $7.5 million and signing an agreement with Armstrong and Tailwind Sports Inc., the company that managed his former team. The spokesman provided The Wall Street Journal with a copy of the 2006 agreement, which says “no party may challenge, appeal or attempt to set aside the arbitration award.”

Can untruthful (fraudulent, perjurious, lying, whatever you want to call it) testimony negate such an agreement?

Here is an update. I don't know who was responsible for the disappearance.

He held more than 150 running-course records and King of the Mountain cycling rankings (known as KOMs) before they disappeared from his Strava page yesterday.

San Francisco-based Strava, which advertised on broadcasts of last year’s Tour de France, treats Armstrong as “just another member of the community,” says Chief Executive Officer Michael Horvath. Some Strava competitors urged banning Armstrong because of his doping.

So here's what I take away from the Vaughters article http://www.cyclingnews.com/blogs/jonathan-vaughters/opinion-its-not-all-about-lance-armstrong-and-heres-how-we-can-fight-doping. Lance's heart was in the right place when he donated the money to UCI to fund anti-doping, even if that anti-doping effort might perhaps have been better carried out by a body independent of cycling. No wonder Lance agrees with the article.

Of course I am being sarcastic in this post.

Absolutely. It's called fraudulent inducement. Defrauding someone to enter into an agreement, knowing the premises are false.

What's fascinating is that he really WASN'T the best doper ever. If he was, he would have made better efforts at keeping all this under wraps. He assumed too much. Even the best warriors sometimes underestimate their adversaries.

David Walsh on that subject.

Halfway through this it really hits your point. Really funny analogy at the end too.

there's a nice federal penitentiary east of austin. it'd have that "down home" feel to it.
