This was the fight for second.
Spokes can look so odd in a photo finish...............seems as though high speed photography could capture a moving spoke.

FYI; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rolling_shutter

Except in the case of the finish line camera, it's a single vertical row of pixels, taking a ton of photos every seconds. So, the cyclists "scan" in front of it, rather then the camera doing the scanning. Note how the ground is white. That's the finish line over time.

Oh and if BMC had aero frames, they would have gotten second place.

Aero frames in Roubaix? Katusha and maybe some other teams were riding last years aluminium frames. Astana had Ambrosio Nemesis rims laced to 105 hubs. Compare that with a good carbon wheelset and you'll get the idea about advantages or what not.

Dude on the Colnago actually broke a few spokes during the ride, too. Hence his missing spokes.

S.Turgot broke a spoke while touching Flecha's wheel during the sprint:

I had a tenner on Ballan to come top three. Couldn't care less about the photo finish :D

Also picked JVS and Ian Stannard for a top three though. only won about £2 overall...

Not a lot of love around here for Ballan but I like his style of riding.

Definitely more spokes than that, you can count 1/4 of them on both wheels. more like 28/32
