You see Pog getting the hour record? I don't

I don't either. He's not aero enough and he likely never will be given his body morphology. And that's the thing, decades later being the best at something just requires...more.

That is why what Pogacar is doing is so incredible. You have a guy dominating Flanders and Strade Bianche and at the same time on the level of Vingegaard in the mountains during Grand Tours. Difficult to do in Merckx era, an incredible feat in the modern era.

No news, but yet another team in blue. Add Bora to that.
Maybe time to buy a better tv. Without highest resolution it will be hard to tell who is who when not zoomed in.

The pattern on the Visma-LaB jersey looks like one that would be found on the 1970s underpants!

Katie Archibald broke her tibia, fibula and tore the ligaments off the bone after tripping in her garden.

My god that's horrible and such terrible timing too. I wonder if she's suffering from osteoporosis? Surely BC athletes would have some really in depth medical screening though.

Cannot imagine what it must be like to be in a four year cycle, building towards the event and then become injured at the final days. Horrible. You would hope that BC has a good screening program in place for osteopenia. The fracture may simply be bad luck.

I also see Froome misses out on TdF selection. Sad to see his career fade away like this. Like all Tour champions, they seem invincible until they aren't. Everyone is human.

It certainly could be. A couple of years ago one of England's best male cricketers missed a World Cup after breaking his leg in three places, dislocating his ankle and rupturing ligaments by walking down the steps wrong at the golf club. Makes you wonder how any of us get through the day unscathed!

She's got to be gutted to miss the Olympics with the form she's had in this cycle - hopefully it's not a career ender

Imagine you loose your olympia spot because your DS is following you too close in the TT like it happened to Longo-Borghini yesterday. She won the national time trial and with that the nomination for olympia, but received a 25sec penalty later, because the car behind came to close despite being warned several times by the referee. Must be devastating, as its not her fault at all and nothing she could do about it.

For a 23km course, a team car following 10m behind the rider (for the whole duration) would save less than 2 seconds off the overall time. eLB originally came first over the line by 0.95sec. Crazy from her DS.

Some DQ's in national TT's and Picollo fired by EF for suspected growth hormone transport. Also Froome not in the Tour but making silly videos. Some fun stuff heading into the Tour.

Johan Price-Pejtersen was DQ'ed for using the bike lane before a roundabout, giving him a better line into it, it was really not much, but you aren't allowed and everybody are feeling really sorry for him, Mattias Skjelmose came in 1 second behind and takes the Danish national title in the TT.

Picollo had some history at Astana as well with odd circumstance around his termination. It is strange that EF would hire him with their apparent stance on doping.

Well there's a chance a few more miss the Olympics following this weekend; the new Crans-Montana XCO track looks treacherous, especially in the wet......plenty of crashes in practice. Now for the racing when the field is bunched up into these features.....
