It will be interesting to see if MvdP will also be on top form and how their battles turn out.

Dont forget that Pidcock will be showing up soon to the party. Should be a good Ho Down as I think all three go head to head in three races.

Pidcock raced yesterday, and did okay, a 7th place on a course that wouldn't really suit him. He's far better on hillier, technical courses - that's why he's the Olympic MTB Champion. He's also done very little Cross training. He'll now do some warm weather training with Ineos before racing next weekend.....

Both races were really heavy, muddy courses, and that means one thing; brute power. Both winners have lots of it - and are probably unbeatable in those conditions. Wout put nearly 3 mins into MvdP at Dendermonde last season.......

The coarse yesterday was tough. Lots of mud and slips and falls. No commentators on the race. Just the crowd yelling for Wout.

I feel so lucky to live in an era to see Wout return from the Road and take his Cyclocross seriously. He put on a devastating display today. He's not like former champions, Lars Boom and Stybar, who were just going through the motions for start money.
I've been following his career since he was a junior, thats what made me a fan back then.

Speaking of awesome news about professional cyclists, did you see that Christine Birch, an 11 time US champion track cyclist and the partner of the awesome world champion and record holder Ashton Lambie, has been selected for the next group of NASA astronauts in training?! We'll finally have gravel cycling on the Moon -- or Mars.

I was excited when Val di Sole was announced - I assumed it would be the same venue as the MTB, and they'd use part of the Short track course, and the infield; so we'd get some decent climbing, as well as the snow.
Sadly, not; a different venue, Vermiglio, and as you can see, it looks mainly flat; in a 16 round World Cup surely there is space for 3-5 courses with significant climbing? It seems as If seems as if the CX World Cup organisers aren't fans of climbing courses - preferring mainly flat, which suit the more powerful riders.

No hills on a WC CX loop with nothing but snow...that sucks. Guess the best runner will win the day if there is a boatload of snow.

A terrible event for a family and young children, at least no one was hurt, at least not physically.

I hope the police catch these people.

That's very bad.

The CX cirquit isn't completely flat. Note the masts. Last time ichecked ICI wanted CX into the winter olympics. May be a good commercial.
