With current weather forecast we could see a suprise. Or no race at all. Rain and wind gusts up to 75 km/h.

I hope MvDP will be ok for PR but probably still not at 100%.

VwA one of the favorites again, my pick is Mohoric tho.

In the past we might get ready for such an epic race, in modern times the racing may be cancelled or pavé removed.

I hope the weather is not so bad to make that happen.

40 m/s. Good golly! and Luca Paolini's coaching fees just skyrocketed.

Edit: Norwegian national weather is not so windy in it's forecast, but wet it is:

My fear for Pidcock is that he's literally too light for cobbles. He's going to be bounced around and lose forward momentum / traction compared to heavier riders. Kinda like how he does relatively worse in sandy CX races.
Pidcock has won both junior and U23 Paris Roubaix, it would appear cobbles are not a problem!

40 mph is some 18 m/s. There WILL be ditching.

Winds are typically measured in knots, but since the weather graphic is from the BBC with temperature in Celcius, I have to wonder if winds are also being measured as kilometers per hour?

No, mph is BBC default. Welcome to our wonderful imperial metric mix

Though I've just looked and they've already revised the forecast down to 14/15mph 'moderate breeze' most of the day. Boooo!

Pidcock doesn’t ride Paris Roubaix.
Are you sure? INEOS still have an empty space in their roster.
