Actually that's a "fairly" standard CdA, in the ballpark of 0.205 to 0.215, not bad, but nowhere close to a really good one either, which would be sub 0.20.
Doesn't take away anything from his achievement, though, both from the wattage perspective as well as the ability to hold the position for that long.
Minimum bike categories required in the stable:
Aero bike | GC bike | GC rim bike | Climbing bike | Climbing rim bike | Classics bike | Gravel bike | TT bike | Indoors bike
Aero bike | GC bike | GC rim bike | Climbing bike | Climbing rim bike | Classics bike | Gravel bike | TT bike | Indoors bike

Back to the Pro thread being about pros: Dylan Groenewegen won stage 1 of the Tour de Wallonie yesterday, Fabio Jakobsen won stage 2 today, first win for both since that Tour of Pologne crash... In both cases, the other finished quite far back, maybe they're just trying to avoid each other as much as possible.
Don't forget that it's a position he held for 24h. That makes it VERY impressive.mrlobber wrote: ↑Wed Jul 21, 2021 10:18 amActually that's a "fairly" standard CdA, in the ballpark of 0.205 to 0.215, not bad, but nowhere close to a really good one either, which would be sub 0.20.

I guess it depends on how you define pro. He does it full time and earns his living with it, which makes him pro, I guess. Has won RAAM 6 times and has all sorts of ultra endurance records. Definitely niche and a very different quality to World Tour Pros, but damn impressive.

It's not really pro unless some bureaucrat in Switzerland tells you how high your socks can be.
I welcome it.. No more gaudy gold on him or his bikes. It's not I don't like gva.. Just hated all that tasteless gold.LeDuke wrote:Kind of weird to see GvA working as a domestique and dragging the field along with 200km to go.
