I wonder if this was intentional from Jumbo Visma. They are actually in a pretty good place, there is still a TT, and they don't have to ride day in day out. But I can't fathom it was possible to engineer it this perfectly.
And of course Roglic now has to match Carapaz every time.
Hm... A grand tour without a sky favourite, and it's sooo much better!!

I think he (PR) can spot Carapaz 45s-60s max in the ITTave wrote: ↑Sat May 25, 2019 8:56 pmI wonder if this was intentional from Jumbo Visma. This seems to imply they intentionally let the pink go to Carapaz.

Tuesday's stage should be good even without the Gavia. It's still 194km with 4,800m... after a rest day, one contender always suffer after a rest day, with that much climbing, an off day could be a nail in the coffin. I suspect some guys will actually ride harder and longer on their rest day spin compared to the first rest day.

I think he was just sad because he heard in real time, that the star packed Russian hockey team had been beaten by the anonymous Finnish team in the world championship semi-finals.flying wrote: ↑Sat May 25, 2019 6:03 pmI remember
Well after seeing today's highlights...I guess he spent his wad yesterday
as he lost 7:20 today
Hmm it's OT but the Finnish hockey team is definitely not "anonymous", they're quite strong, albeit maybe a bit inconsistentSacke wrote: ↑Sun May 26, 2019 11:02 amI think he was just sad because he heard in real time, that the star packed Russian hockey team had been beaten by the anonymous Finnish team in the world championship semi-finals.flying wrote: ↑Sat May 25, 2019 6:03 pmI remember

Source: I have a Finnish gf, meaning I had to learn a lot more about hockey than I would have liked to.
Now that was bike racing.

MVdP is doing pretty well in the UCI MTB XC WC so far. Would be cool to see Sagan switch.
And, the best is yet to come! The more action happens, the more everything gets entangled and unpredictable! Yates getting better but still needs to try something crazy, Nibali inching closer to Roglic but needing to close the gap on Carapaz, Roglic himself who seems to be unable to fire back but can still hold on and wait for the TT, and Carapaz who seems strong but will need to fend off attacks from ALL of them...
Bad luck for Roglic... Why did he change bike?
