Ewan said on a GCN video that he has a custom one-piece bar. (different curves, I think) So, I don't think it's that big a deal. A custom bar on a top pro's bike. Wow! :)

Yes, but the confusion is probably due to the fact that both Yates brothers are currently racing, with Simon leading the Giro, his brother Adam is contesting for a podium spot at the Tour of California.
Michael - The Anaerobic Threshold is neither...

@KWalker it was precisely Contador in 2009 (Armstrong return year?) that i was thinking of this morning in the shower as the last time i saw someone dominate like this on climbs. Just his posture or something, he looks like he is whole % points better than others, perhaps more so in the earlier climbs than Stage 11 where Domylawn was able to match him. How unusual to see a leader winning stage after stage.
Bobo S&S Steel Bike - 7.5 kg
Oltre XR2- 6.6 kg

Yep, Yates 2018 is certainly the same as Contador 2011 - who savaged the entire peloton up Etna. Solo.

Spare me.

Right? I'll need to look it up but didn't Contador have like four and a half minutes on the rest of them by the middle of the second week? Sure, Yates is clearly a bit better than everyone else on every climb right now, but Contador was simply riding a different race to everyone else that year.

Saw a tweet as well. The source is Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf. I think that definitely shows that Sunweb and Giant are about to split up since multiple (Dutch) sources link Giant to different teams than Sunweb.

Is it possible the team's (Sunweb's) other sponsors are a bit annoyed at Giant for basically making everything 'Giant', even shoes! Giant shoes! They might get a better all around relationship with equipment sponsors if it doesn't feel like the bike sponsor is trying to monopolise it all. Perhaps? I dunno :noidea:
