Road shoes for hot days

What are in your opinion the best road shoes for hot summer rides? I know that everyone has different taste and what works for someone may not work for others, but I'm still curious. Is there anyone here with first hand experience for vent / knit shoes maybe (eg DMT KRSL, Giro Empire Knit, S-Works Vent, Bontraget RSL Knit)?

I ride S-Works Road 7 and S-Works Ares, I like them a lot, but during hot summer rides (30+ degrees Celsius) I wonder if there is a better option.

Did you consider any alternatives? What were the reasons you have selected the Vent?

Liked the look, ordered them, they fit well and I have never looked at other summer shoes :)
