It was Brian! So fun. I was clueless haha. But the jacket is great. So small and easy to take with you, and incredible in both the rain or on a really windy day.tj7mesh wrote: ↑Fri Jun 05, 2020 6:21 pmI'm guessing this was Brian showing ways to pack an Oro? I still have that video, but we need to do a proper one...Conradsleight wrote: ↑Fri Jun 05, 2020 4:25 am7Mesh are awesome - I have their Oro shakedry rain jacket and it's amazing. Plus my sister lives in Squamish where they're based, so I feel a bit of a connection Great peeps though - I sent in a question once and they replied with a how-to video made just for me. Love em
Glad the jacket is working for you! Cheers from Squamish.

An official tutorial would be nice! I also have an Oro and would like to see how its creators do the packing.tj7mesh wrote: ↑Fri Jun 05, 2020 6:21 pmI'm guessing this was Brian showing ways to pack an Oro? Good to have you here and always awesome to see someone have a career of 17 years at the same company. Even more so when building up a (niche) company to a very reputable brand.tj7mesh wrote: ↑Thu Jun 04, 2020 9:47 pmHi all, thanks for the mentions! Just want to clarify that we're not officially linked with Arc'teryx. Myself and my co-founders had long history there, I started when it was a tiny climbing harness company and left 17 years later. I was honoured to be the CEO for my last 8 years there, and worked with tons of great people that are still friends.
So there's a lot of our DNA in Arc'teryx, and Arc'teryx DNA in us. We think similarly (but not identically) from a product perspective. Cheers!
I'll give 7Mesh a try soon .
Has anyone here tried the Le Col Pro bib shorts? I've previously ordered the Le Col HC shorts and found them a bit large for what I expected. I'm 190cm and 82-84kg, normally wear a large in most brands but found the HCs quite big in a size L. Not sure if the Pro bib shorts fit any tighter, or if I should order a medium.

The Williams brothers and their crew used to be on CNCPT team back in the day, and ENDO Customs made all their kits (endocustoms.com)
Endocustoms also made all Team Dream cycling kits as well. Quality wise, i would say pretty top notch and very racy fit.
They are now riding for Legions and all their team kits are made by Rapha.
Which are the brands with proprietary fabrics and manufacturing that you might recommend?biwa wrote: ↑Wed May 27, 2020 6:17 amNever understood 1) and 2), aren't they just made by other (less expensive) brands with no proprietary fabric/engineering? They sure do well in branding and marketing though.rollinslow wrote: ↑Wed May 27, 2020 1:24 amCheckout these brands....
1. Pas Normal Studios
2. Cafe du Cycliste
3. Velobici
4. Velocio
I read this thread a while back and found Eroe. I really like their bib-shorts, they make hours in the saddle feel like a breeze compared to my cycling clubs team kit.
I wanted clothes that could be used for solo incognito rides and while on the smart trainer. They do the job and seems to be good quality. So I am happy.

From the same lineage, ASSOS too, though I've found their older non-GT/non-Mille stuff more innovative/original. The current gen is more of incremental refinement.
I really like Q36.5, that said, the fabric on their jerseys does not seem super breathable and bunches at my shoulders/back.
I am continaully impressed with assos. The fabric/fit is better than anything else I've ever owned. Bought an airblock 851 jacket second hand 10 years ago, still wear it almost daily in the winter.

I've been trying a few new brands mentioned here recently and have noticed a strange fit element in almost all of them. The jackets and vests feel perfect everywhere except across the front panel of the chest, where it feels a little bit tight and has a bunch of folds in the fabric. The chest at the armpits isn't tight - it just feels like the panel in the front (between the armpits) is missing an inch or so of fabric.
This is all standing up off the bike. On the bike the feeling goes away. So I'm wondering if clothes are intentionally cut this way to have a better on-the-bike fit.
Do any of you guys experience the same, or are these brands just not the right fit for me?
