My winter lineup is currently the IJ.BONKA.6 CENTO jacket and LL MILLE BONKA tights, both denoted 4 on the then applicable climate range. Are the Mille GT Ultraz and the Jodah the most comparable items in Assos current line up?

Used for commuting in 0 to -15 Celsius, distance not long enough for body temperature to rise, so I been happy with this full warmth setup.

Reading up on vanity sizing, has sizes changed since above models? My weight is 74kg but due to length of 190cm, I have in the past used L in tights (they are still to short) and XL in long sleeved jackets needing to have room for base layers (L in short sleeve Equipe RS jersey).
Yes, the Ultraz and Johdah are the warmest in the lineup. The Ultraz will be warmer, as the Johdah is part of the Equipe lineup meant for higher intensity riding so is a bit thinner. My Mille Ultraz jacket is so warm that anything more than a paper thin base layer is overkill in anything above -5C.

The Ultraz are actually no longer current - there are now Hashoogi (regular fit) and Habu (racing fit) winter jackets.
Thanks for your input! I decided to keep the Bonka, albeit a bit worn out, for the coldest days and instead went with the Equipe RS series to stay with the same type of chamois and fit as my summer stuff. Initially ordered L, the same size as my RSR bibs, despite Assos' size guide recommending M. Turned out fit was too loose, so went with M, which fits me well. So, to say the obvious, RSR is indeed different from RS.

For the record in order to potentially help others, my measurements are 190cm and 74kg.

Anyone who has had both S9 and S11 bib or tights and can give a comparison and their preference? In my case it would concern the sorinf/fall tights, but as bib etc is equal, opinions would be appreciated regardless of your model.

I’d like to know this as well. My old Habu tights have seen better days. I’ve seen S9 on sale and S11 are pricey. So if there’s not much difference, I’d get a S9. Also, how much different is the Spring/Fall tights. I think there’s only one model of those but already sold out on the Small size.

Not sure if you ask about RS or R versions but considering that there is no R S11, I shall presume we discuss RS.
I have three pairs of RS bibs, S9 Targa (summer) and S9 spring/fall in both long and shorts versions.
I also have the RS S11, I got them for around 125 euro, otherwise I would not have bothered.

I would not bother chasing the RS S11, I do not see it as an improvement over the RS S9 Targa. This is about summer version.

Now, I am too lazy to search for the reason, the pads in the spring/fall RS S9 are different that the one in Targa and I like more the spring/fall ones. Can someone more knowledgeable enlight me about the difference in pads? I thought Targa only had updated fabrics.

So in few words: RS S9 spring/fall pads > RS S9 Targa summer pad and RS S9 Targa summer pad quite similar to RS S11 summer pad.

Hello! New member and 1st post here:

Can someone explain the difference between the Reform Bib Shorts P1 and P3? Both are available at Assosoutlet.com I'm guessing the P1 is the older model as its on sale for $111.. where as the P3 has the regular price of $130.

According to the product descriptions the P1 has the kratercooler insert, whereas the P3 has the S9 sundeck insert. I have no idea what is the difference between those.

Yeah me either.. which is pretty much why I joined this forum lol.

Only thing I can come up with is based history of Assos products the higher the number, the newer the model? So is the S9 insert leftover from a previous number. I have seen some S11 bibs from Assos. Also P3 is higher than P1. That said maybe someone will chime in and explain exactly what all this means.

AFAIK all the reform bibs are made with various parts leftover from other models. IE you really have to read the descriptions closely to know what they are, I've got one pair of a fall/spring model and I think that P1 from their reform line, both absolutely worth what they're charging for them. I like the fall/spring ones better than the RS model I've also had awhile, and those were really good. I think generally I like the older style of construction they're using on the reform line instead of the shorts with straps style on their other models. But I haven't tried that newer reform bib, I just don't need them but I'd bet they are a good value for the price just like the other models have been.
