I have two nopinz and gobik suits
- nopinz pro-1 road, grippers of which rubb my hamstrings tendons to blood, but its fit is good; grippers are simply very narrow;
- nopinz gravel, that has an elastic interface padding and the lightest of four; my fav one
- gobik Brooklyn matt 2 that has also an ES padding, and the material it's made of is very soft to touch; grippers aren't the best especially with a bit hairy thighs;
- gobik Brooklyn women version, as the previous one, but doesn't have an issue with grippers.
Both gobik suits have fully unzipping jerseys, easy reacing pockets. They great suits and affordable but I wish gobik puts less strange slogans on their kits and chooses more pastel colours.

I wasn't aware of the gravel suit. I really like the larger rear pockets, the dyneema for crash protection, and the elastic interface padding. What I can't say I like are the mesh cargo pockets on the legs. Why add mass on a part of the body that is moving? Additionally, isn't that going to hurt aero performance?SaladhOlivier wrote: ↑Wed Jun 12, 2024 5:06 amI have two nopinz and gobik suits

Regarding your comment about the grippers on the normal road suit - I agree. That's the big weakness of it imo.
And one final comment regarding hairy thighs. If you're optimizing to the point of using a skin suit, grab a shaver

I tend to use speed suits on usual rides too simply because they don't have an issue with "a jersey going up" or sacked down jersey's pockets.
even pros don't shave their legs constantlyIf you're optimizing to the point of using a skin suit, grab a shaver

On me fastest was D2Z, then Rule 28 (old one, not latest but with aero bra), then Nopinz, then vortexaeroskii wrote: ↑Sun Jun 23, 2024 8:24 amPost results!CustomMetal wrote: ↑Tue Mar 26, 2024 4:51 pmI'm going Rule 28 this year for Road bike TT and have an encapsulator (endura D2Z) for TT bike TTs. Goes to show how different body shapes and positions effect things
FWIW I use Nopinz Pro-1 suits and they fit great. No issues whatsoever with the grippers, hairy or not.SaladhOlivier wrote: ↑Wed Jun 12, 2024 5:06 amI have two nopinz and gobik suits

All NoPinz all the time for me. I have their current and prior generation Pro-1 and Pro-1 Evo suits in just about every variation. The gravel and road race short sleeve suits, a Pro-1 Evo Tri suit, Pro-1 and Pro-1 Evo Speedsuits with number pockets for TTs. I also have various jerseys and bib seperates, as well as a couple vest/gillets. Im a huge fan of their products and seeing as they run a 20-25% off sale almost monthly, I can't find anything that beats their qaultiy or performace at the price point.

How wide are the silicone grippers on the current Pro-1 skinsuits? I have an older generation and I do not really like how narrow it is.CFrancis515 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 12, 2024 8:42 pmAll NoPinz all the time for me. Our team switched over from NoPinz to Bioracer (mainly due to import tarifs from the UK to EU) and I really like the Epic skinsuit. Bioracer offers this skinsuit also in a TT and CX version.
I like the Nopinz Pro-1 Evo RR. I do granfondos. I need space for lots of gels and pockets for numbers. I have been using the Sportful Bombet ski suit for a few years, it's great, but I wonder if there is anything faster out there.
Is the Nopinz Pro-1 Evo RR faster? Is there any data online in general?

Same width in the legs and actually narrower in the arms, about half the width in the arms as the prior generation. That being said, i have never had any issues with them slipping in any of my suits.soulxpower wrote: ↑Wed Nov 13, 2024 11:18 amHow wide are the silicone grippers on the current Pro-1 skinsuits?
