Is rim explosion from escaped air an unique Enve problem? Do I need to worry about this and install Enve pressure relieve nuts as good prevention? My non-Enve rims are built with external nipples but no drain hole.

The pressure relief nut is placebo. Guess what happens if you have a poor seal around the valve hole when you first set up your tires? That’s right, sealant spews out the hole directly onto the nut, clogging those little channels in the threads and rendering it useless. The sealant also acts like a glue inside that nut.
A stop gap would be to coat the nut in some oil to prevent it from clogging

Enve rims still haven't got draining holes? What is the advantage of not having those holes?

Does this work well? I've read of people lining the valve stem with oil to prevent clogging and I might set up all my non-Fillmore bikes that way next spring when I try the Clik system.TobinHatesYou wrote: ↑Fri Nov 29, 2024 12:01 amA stop gap would be to coat the nut in some oil to prevent it from clogging
