I've seen brands offering these out on lots of different wheelsets as an alternative to cx-ray; on wheelsets for road, gravel and MTB.
Has anyone got any experiences on them in terms of robustness against their competitors? (DT aerolight, cx-ray)

I have just built a wheelset for myself using Alpina Hyperlite and Extralite Aero. Only rode it for a few hundred km so far, so can't really say anything about durability. I can just tell you they look and feel like their Sapim equivalents. Only Extralites are a bit beefier than CX Sprints.
However, since they cost only about half of what sapim charges, I had to give them a try

I think metal spokes from major brands are composed of the more or less the same material and processing? So... spokes having similar profile and weight should have similar properties...
Rikulau V9 DB Custom < BMC TM02 < Litespeed T1sl Disc < Giant Propel Advanced SL Disc 1 < Propel Adv < TCR Adv SL Disc < KTM Revelator Sky < CAAD 12 Disc < Domane S Disc < Alize < CAAD 10
so what are the metallurgy applied to Super CX Ray and Hyperlite?

The diameter of the spokes ends are 2mm(hyperlite) and 1.8mm(super cx). My builder says Hyperlite transition section has been thickened and reinforced.

Nice spokes, good feel when building a wheel. Very linear response. Highly recommended that the rim bed has spoke holes. Use something like Sapim Double Square nipples
If you like to work with the SPOKEY spoke wrench, you will be holding the spoke too far away from the nipple and it will twist
Need the DT Swiss TTSXXXXR05664S spoke wrench and their holder to build or adjust spokes from the hub side

Giant TCR Adv SL '23 (6.1) · BH Lynx Race Evo '19 · Seraph GR029 '21 (7.7) · Canyon Inflite AL '14
And if you assemble on rims without holes? Will it be much more difficult? I thought about buying AR25 rims without holes, H-works hubs and assembling wheels on them.Aeo wrote: ↑Tue Dec 10, 2024 10:23 amNice spokes, good feel when building a wheel. Very linear response.
