I have seen this for quite some time but not seeing any real person use and properly reviewed it yet...especially in clincher. Supposedly better protection and rolling?
Anyone used these can share some insight? might want to buy into this but if it's too easy to puncture I would turn my eye to other stuff...

FWIW I've been using the previous version with tubes on my WW singlespeed for 800km without any punctures so far. Quite happy with the RR but hard to tell objectively

My friend has it and it's just like High Road, very supple, profile is very rounded, and... draggy like before. Definitely noticeable when you swap from GP5000. Great for wet surfaces, confidence in descending.

Is the confidence on descents stemming from the lower speed due to higher RR?

:) It offer high grip, tho unsure how much is contributed by profile/compound/construciton

impressed in terms of what?

Were they close enough in terms of rolling resistance, but offers more puncture protection and grip?

Ah draggy like before is sth I don't really like....I got a pair on the way anyway, just hope it won't puncture like hell. I'm currently running the Pzero race clincher which is a tank of a tyre and probably gave me illusions of how good my road actually is....

There is a good 5 Watts difference P1 vs 5K tested by Tour on both smooth ground and rough ground, and Pirelli is even faster than 5K by Tour, so claiming Maxxis "as a 28-millimeter variant, the delicate skin can keep up with the fastest competitors from Conti, Schwalbe and Pirelli", means nothing, due to the too-slow P1.

I'm a Tour subscriber but I don't see the numbers of Maxxis on that page or through the link in that page.

I was running the previoua version of High Road SL 170 TPI for many thousands of km without any problems and not more then two or three punctures. I would for sure like tontry the new version (clincher) as well. Strange they reduces from 170 TPI ro 150 TPI. 28 mm version seems to be not available yet in germany.

Have you tried it yet? Curious to see how the others feel about it.

Not yet, it's winter here and my old tyres are still going strong, maybe will try in the spring!
