After two months, I checked the sealant in my tire using a Park sealant injector. I pulled out about an ounce of yellow-brown translucent liquid instead of any sealant. Second time in a row I've noticed this. What's up with this? Never noticed this before.
This usually means the tire hasn't been ridden enough on a regular basis, or that too many days have past when the bike was last ridden. It could also be that most of the latex has already settled out of the liquid and it's time to add fresh sealant. I wouldn't worry about it. I've also seen the same thing (after the sealant has become too old).

Well, last week I opened up a tire after only three weeks after putting new OS in, and noticed the only liquid left was this translucent liquid. Temperatures have been pretty cool now so I can't blame it on heat drying up the sealant. The expiration date on the bottle is in 2025 so it ain't that either. Maybe a bad batch of sealant, but regardless, I'm done with OS. The company doesn't even answer emails.
I've noticed the same the last few times I've popped a GP5k TT TR, i.e., a watery translucent liquid separated out from thick gloop that's stuck to the tyre wall. I was wondering if it was a reaction to the dish soap I use as mounting lube or something about these specific tyres. Anyway, I'm now using Dynamic's lurid green Barkeeper Pro, but I've still got tyres with OS and about .75 l bottle of that left too. Only noticed this behaviour with this most recent 32 oz bottle and I've been using OS for a few years.

Orange Seal and other sealants do react poorly with dish soap. The soap will cause the latex to separate and ball up, leaving the water and glycol behind.
Yeah, I've used a trigger sprayer with dish soap and orange seal for years, but this problem has only just appeared with my most recent 32 oz bottle. I'm not yet ruling out the tyres as the cause as it's only with GP5k TT TRs that I've noticed it so far. I'll check some other tyres that have OS from the same bottle in them soon.
That’s weird, I’ve had similar issues where the sealant just dried up over time, especially if the tire’s been sitting around for a while. It could be that the sealant isn’t holding up or wasn’t mixed properly when you first added it. I’d recommend checking for any leaks and then replacing the sealant to see if that helps—sometimes it’s just a matter of freshening things up.
