BikeRadar had the non-RS P Zero Race TLRs faster than the GP5K S TR. They did drum-style test at SSEH without a rider.

The BRR voting pattern for road tires makes me think people prefer to see common tires tested 10 times in different sizes than to find hidden gems. The Bonti RSL might fall off this month for a 26mm Aero 111 which is sized like a 24mm tire. Something I didnt think anyone would choose in 2024.

I reckon we could do the RSL soon-ish, will definitely add it to the list probably in 26 & 28 before anything else

We've now done the test on the Bontrager RSL in size 26mm, looks like it'll be just behind the Conti 111 in terms of Crr but full data out on Wed/Thu I think!

Just got back from the shop and got a chance to compare a 28mm Corsa Pro and Aeolus RSL side-by-side.

- Casing width is identical
- The Aeolus RSL tread cap is 7-8mm wider, it looks like it has at least 52% tread coverage, which would be greater than any other tire in this class.
- The Aeolus rubber felt grippier when I ran my finger across it, but that could be down to the tread pattern.

While the tread compound seems to be the same, there's basically no reason to buy an actual Corsa Pro or Corsa Pro Control over the Aeolus RSL. Wild.

Agreed the RSL is better in every way plus where I am they are 25-30% less expensive than Vitoria branded ones.

Not sure why anyone would spend over $60 for a tire, not alone over $100 if you're not racing, for a tire that will only last 2,000 miles and some only last 1,000 miles...but I'm a tightwad, owning businesses does that to a person.

I always look for closeout deals on tires, I have a pair of Specialized S-Works Turbo Road Tire 2-Pack, 700x24mm coming around the 7th I got from Excel Sports for $45 including taxes and shipping. While those tires are not the fastest tires on the block, I'm not freaking racing, so for me to ride 40 miles and return home 15 to 30 seconds later isn't going to bother me.

Yeah but now you'll be stuck on 24mm tires. If Excel paid me the 45€ to ride them, I'd still rather buy something else!

Do only business owners have budgets or is this a "how do you know someone's a vegan" situation?

Yeah, hard to justify extra 30€ per tire when corsa pro can be bought in EU for 60€.
