I'm interested how they compare for exmaple with 303 FC, weight is similar.
How setup works with inner tubes, haven't seen anyone running inner tubes on IW 25mm rims
And maybe you have exact weight? how it differs from specified weight?
Official weight of my set on the scales including rim tape was 1342g. So 1g heavier than specified.
The wheels come with filmore valves which weigh 16g for the pair. So you could substitute some lighter ones, but so far I have been liking the valves so I will take the weight penalty.
I've ridden the 303FC too and both wheels have a good feeling of acceleration. The FC offer more compliance than the reserves, but the reserves are stiffer, which I like.
The reserves feel a little bit faster, overall, and handle marginally better too.
The biggest difference is that the reserve rims and hubs have a better build quality.
Fwiw I've used some of the carbon spoke hyper wheels from farsports too and while they are good wheels with great acceleration, I find I prefer the steel spoke Reserve/Enve from both a comfort and handling perspective.
You can use inner tubes for both, just pick the correct size tube. Installation is the same as regular rims and I've used tubes in both without issue, but prefer tubeless so that's my typical set up.

Have you felt any difference in comfort/compliance between enve 4.5 and reserve 42|49 ? I'm curious if hookless rim helps for tyre to absorbe better ruff surfaces.

Hey guys!
Does anybody have an idea where the actual price difference on the 42/49 with DT 350 and DT 180 comes from? The price difference of the wheelset in Europe is roughly 1000€ while the price difference of the hubs is approximately 250 to 300€. I was confused when checking the prices and was thinking about ordering the wheels and let them set up.
They are clearly targeting price insensitivity for the 180 hub type customer. It is really crazy the prices differences between the different hubs. What a way to make themselves not competitive. The dt240 should not go over 2k for the price to be competitive and the difference reasonable.
Very interested in these wheels but not for that price. Make the dt240 option 2k and we'll talk.

No discernible difference in comfort aside from they are both more comfortable than the hypers. I use 30mm tires at 53/56psi fwiw.

Reserve will definitely be in touch with you soon to discuss pricing.

In my area, i honestly dont believe. But I'll inquiry. Those 42/49 wheels are the only ones to check all the boxes, assuming they make it cheaper.

I would prefer the 240s but it'll depend on the price.
Interesting that one can't find any reference to the 42|49. This is really a ghost product.

Just email reserve and ask them when to expect stock. Or if not in the US (like me), email a dealer.
I believe preorders are being taken, so chances are they may remain out of stock for the first shipment!
In Australia, reserve wheels are some of the best value...

Aside from the hubs the Reserve is optimized with 32mm tires which are the new "tech" in road cycling as tested by Norcal
Nah, Reserve are optimised for 29-30mm tyres.
The 35mm external width?
S-Works Aethos 6.18 kg
Pinarello Grevil F 9 kg
Winspace G2 9 kg

Yes. It's what they told me when I asked them directly.

Anyone have any comments on how 30 or 32mm gp5000 S TR fit in regard to the inflated width? Saw the comment that 30mm Pirelli tires fit flush. I'm assuming that gp5000 would be the same? Have a set of 240 42|49 inbound on a new build, and debating which tire size to go with.

I have 30c Pirelli on a zipp 25mm internal and they measure almost 33mm. If that helps. A 32c will grow to some 35mm.

My GP5000 S TR 30s measure 31.3mm on my 24int rims. I have a set of GP5000 AS TR 35 that measure 36.2mm on the same wheels.

These 42/49 really tick almost most of my boxes. But I haven't seen a review of these anywhere. If anyone where can give their feedback, it is very much appreciated.
