Vonoa is top spec only, yes. The others are the new gen wheels as well, but without carbon spokes.

Today I received Alround.54 with steel spokes (and Shimano ratchet), from crash replacement of old ones Streem.50. Still waiting for the front wheel A.49. They should be sent together. Looks like they forgot. And invoice came for both wheels.
Weight seems spot on around 800g as it came with tubeless tape.

Nice, congrats!
Interested to hear how you rate the handling (and speed) in comparison to your FarSports or CRW wheels.
I have over 2,000km on mine and totally dig them.
The 49 front wheel still catches gusts, though it's been quite windy here lately, nonetheless they still really are excellent all-rounders (as without gusts they are easily predictable in handling).
For climbing in the Alpes later this month I'd still definitely take along the 35/38 as well.

So far I did only 2 rides. But only have rear wheel. Newman stil does not answer me how come only rear wheel came. Hopefully I will not have to wait again for weeks for anwers.pk0r wrote: ↑Sun Sep 08, 2024 6:43 pmNice, congrats!

So far the wheel(s) are OK, but nothing special. For my kind of style of riding (jumpy style on steep hills), the Farsport Hypers are much better. Better acceleration. But that was no surprise to me. After all, those are +300g lighter. Luckaly I have the rear wheel, and acceleration is from the drive train. And if I had also the front wheel, the differance would be a bit bigger. Stifness wise, I think are about the same. Did an all out on +20% gradient for 30s and segment time and power was the same as with Farsport.
Comfort wise also not better then my Farsports. A bit worse actually. With same tyre (28c), a bit higher pressure due to TPU inner tube (versus tubeless on Farsport). Interesting the 5000 S TR comes at 29,7mm, when on Farsport 30,5mm. And both have 24internal rim. None of the tyres are new, but on Newman it has about 500km. Maybe that is the differance. But when I mounted new one on Farsport, it already had 30,5mm.
WIll I keep the wheels? Definatelly not as primary road wheels. Maybe for winter road. But in winter I do same riding style as in summer. But am more leaning towards having them for gravel. Newman told me they can be ridden on gravel as well. But already have Farsport wheels for gravel as well. But these deep ones do look sick good with gravel wheel.

That's light for such a deep wheelset!scapewalker wrote: ↑Tue Sep 10, 2024 10:14 pmReceived my set Streem Sprint Vonoa set yesterday. They set weighed in at 1382g. A bit heavy for my liking but acceptable i guess. Had to reinstall the rim tape on the backwheel because sealant was leaking when trying to set them up tubeless.

I had a look but 24iw with 30ow ???? A 28mm tire will go beyond 30mm. So you would need 32mm which makes it again heavier.Agent041 wrote: ↑Wed May 22, 2024 9:25 am58mm, 24int/30ext, 1.292g, hooked, also glossy finish, for way less money

I would have preferred that they made them at least 32mm ow
Agree, then again the industry is slowly catching up and resizing their tyres for wider rims. Personally I'd find the tyre with the biggest tread coverage in 25c (tufo endurance 7tr seems ok) and put that on. In a year or two tyres will be a bit closer to their nominal sizes again, it's happening already.
I have them and actually external rim is 30,5mm, and Conti 5000 STR 28c comes also exactly at 30,5mm wide. So it is a perfect fit and transition. Not all agree on the 105% rule. For some spot on (100%) is just as good. But even if it would not be. the differance is really marginal. Probably less than a watt.wickedstealthy wrote: ↑Thu Sep 12, 2024 7:23 pmI had a look but 24iw with 30ow ???? A 28mm tire will go beyond 30mm. I personally will probably go even for 30c tyre on the rear, as I do not want to scratch the rim when I lean my bike to the rear tyre when taking a photo with my bike and beautiful nature where I ride. Or when bumping into my house door when I take my bike outside.
FYI they also have wheels with 32mm external. Those are 26mm internal. I have also their Wave series 35/30, but with 24 carbon spokes and their RD360 hub.
Yes finding right tyres with wide thread is a must with wide rims. 5000 S TR are great, also Tufos as I see. All my carbon wheels are now 24 or more. And because of this, I am finding really hard to find a new bulletproof tyre for winter night riding. Had Pirelli Cinturato Velo 32c, but even on 24int. the thread is only about 27-28mm wide. And want to even run 26int. in winter.toxin wrote: ↑Thu Sep 12, 2024 7:46 pmAgree, then again the industry is slowly catching up and resizing their tyres for wider rims. I do not dare to corner with it in winter with all the stuff on roads, and in slippery conditions. Everything I look is not even close to Cinturato in bulletproof. 5000 AS is too weak, also some other Pirellis. Have turned to Tufo, as they also have wide thread, but Endurance 7TR came very poorly in BRR tests for punture resistance. Comtura 4TR has much better, and comes also in 30c, but its wet grip is again much worse. And in my winter conditions, this is also an important factor.
