I don't think the problem is with real rider vs weighs, but the surface. Treadmill =/= road.

Either way, in every independent test the Corsa Pro is slower than the GP5K S TR by a minimum of 1-1.5W per tire and as high as 5W per tire in the CN “rolling road” test. Also teams running Conti are regularly putting their contenders on GP5K TT TRs which are even faster.

And then we get into other details like the Corsa Pro tread being the least aero and stalls at a lower yaw than any other tire…

And yet the Corsa tread is enough for half the pro peloton. A few of you might need the extra width, but most don't.

The Corsa is also objectively slow according to every independent test and half the pro peloton uses it. Extra tread width is about more than lean angle, it is the first line of defense against shoulder punctures on flinty roads, riding over twigs or other detritus, etc.
Agreed about the benefits. I'm just saying for most people they will be marginal and people should consider whether they're a deciding factor at all. For me, not.

When people chasing marginal W gain in aero, it's only logical to consider wider tread tires for (marginal) safety reason. If every W counts, then every mm tread width counts as well. I'd go for the RSL.

We don't know if the Aeolus RSL tread compound is unique to Trek or the standard Corsa Graphene+Silica compound. BRR should be posting test results soon.
