Have very "good experience" of the extralite wheelset a few years back, it literally cracks and bearing breaking down easily and getting no good support or warranty

I understands this is weight weenies.....but I will not touch it if, being a high mileage user and historical bad experiences
If you are light weight....might be worth trying. I weight between 72 to 78kg between the years and season

XD-15 bearings are no heavier in my experience. My Extralite SPD-3 weigh exactly as much as the non Ceramic ones that R2 had on their scales.
Thank you. Very tempted then...trying to find out about the after sale service. On trustpilot they are not in a good position...
It looks like I'll stick with other options then ...

I cannot second the bad experience. The hubs have worked perfectly so far, both for me and people I ride with.
The rims (339C) have been perfect too, and even after crashing them at very high speed, I had no issues with them.
The worst part about the product are the "hyperlite" spokes. They are just too flimsy. The Berd alternative is said to be much more sturdy.

i think next week i will get my 327c
Extralite says mine will be at 976g with Shimano Freehub, so the 970g with XDR seems to be right
i make Photos etc. if they arrived

Incredibly light. Hope they deliver on quality, too.

I just got a set of 327c from r2 also, shimano freehub. Have not weighed yet but will.
I built a set of wheels with extralite hyperboost 3 hubs, berd spokes and BTLOS rims for a mtb (29" x 25mm ID) that came out to 896g for the set. I know these will not be that light but hopefully they are in the 970g range and reliable.

Any reports on these wheels? I'm considering a pair as climbing wheels for my Aeroad on the big mountains (15km+ up and down)

What do you guys think of the different bearings they offer? Would you go all in with the xd-15?
Thanks

I cannot compare, but I have the XD-15, and they are working like a Charme.

I wish they did a hooked version of their 'gravel' wheelset.

It'd be great for 32 slicks (or 34s / 35s) as a more robust wheelset for climbing and descending. No way I'm chancing hookless though.

FYI I just did the Route Des Grandes Alpes on a set of Extralite CyberDisc 327Cs. Was very impressed with almost every aspect of them.
