Tempted to get the 35s for winter (40s probably won't fit under my mudguards). Are these a better option than the Conti GP5k AS TR 35?wooger wrote: ↑Tue Sep 10, 2024 11:44 amNot sure if this is news or I missed it, but these are now in stock on BikeInn in 35c and 40c versions at long last.

I'm about to find out myself! Have had such a good experience with 30c (speedcore) that I've ordered a pair of 35c for this winter.
I ordered a pair of both the 40c & 35c; 40s probably going on my commuting / gravel bike spare wheelset for not caring as much about potholes in the city, and still being able to do a decent fast ride out of the city when I don't feel like changing bikes.
The 35c, depending on how big they come up on 20mm internal rims, may be the tyres for my winter / mudguard / audax road bike.

aaaaanndd.... yes, other versions are undersized as well
Pirelli P Zero Race 30mm vs Road 28mm ... (depends on an angle, sometimes it looks like road 28 could be bigger)
race 30mm vs race tlr rs 30mm

Tyres are pretty heavy:
458g and 452g while specs says 400g.
My 40s measure 41 mm on 40 mm wide rims. They were very hard to mount, requiring a velcro strap to hold down one end of the bead while easing the other end over the rim with a tyre jack. They feel pretty supple both in the hand and on the road compared to AS TRs. Bonus is they fit nicely under my PDW fenders.
Good idea, I'm on my 3rd evening having a go at mounting them here, losing the will.bobones wrote: ↑Fri Oct 11, 2024 9:12 pmMy 40s measure 41 mm on 40 mm wide rims. Easily the tightest beads I've ever encountered.
I used a BBB style tyre jack to pull the bead over the rim just a little bit at a time. The tool kept slipping so I used my free hand so push the tip into the rim for better grip. A strap or cable tie was needed to stop other end of the bead from coming loose. I thought it might just be the super wide rims making things worse, but I can't remember a more difficult tyre to mount either. God forbid having to remount one at the roadside!wooger wrote: ↑Sat Oct 26, 2024 7:02 pmGood idea, I'm on my 3rd evening having a go at mounting them here, losing the will.bobones wrote: ↑Fri Oct 11, 2024 9:12 pmMy 40s measure 41 mm on 40 mm wide rims.
