Anyone can chime in with the ride feel on the Bora Ultra WTO C23? Any types is fine 45 or 60mm.
It seems surprising that it's not talked about that much. They look fantastic and while not as light as the chinese carbon spokes ilks, seem alright at 14xxg.
I racked some km's on them now (45 version) , there great .I have the non disc wto 45 rim brake version also , no ride quality difference.
They C23 are more beautiful then my c19 version
I'm coming from a pair of drive 45's that I found too harsh due to the carbon spokes....

Just not enough time for them to percolate into the market. I have the C19 and they are the best wheelset I own. I sold my Enve's, Chris King's, etc. The Bora and specifically the Ultra is on another level completely. They are much stiffer than my Enve's were for example. The sealed rim-bed makes tubeless easy, and they have hooks. They handle cross winds very well and feel light. I'm sure the C23 will be even better given the weight loss. Not much to think about, just buy them. I ride the 60's.

I'm so tempted to buy rim brake WTO 45s because they're beautiful. But I'd go from 21mm to 19mm for internal depth and from 28mm to 26.5mm for external width. I run 28mm tires on my hooked Light Bicycle rims.

Just curious if you’re running the 60s full time. I’m about to pull the trigger on a pair of regular Bora c23 wheels and trying to make final decision between the 45 and 60.

"60s full time" is so much an individual thing. Not only rider weight, region, steering geometry of the frame/fork in question but also what "full time" actually means: I have a bike with 60s that I ride without thinking much about wind conditions, but I also know that I'd never take that bike on a vacation to the high mountains or to some island, or to some island with a high mountain in the ocean, in particular not on that kind of vacation where you ride in any weather that isn't an outright emergency situation where you'd think twice even about driving a car. But for those occasions, I also would not consider 45s adequate. I've had occasions where I stopped on the open road due to wind even on Zondas (of the rim brake kind, 26mm front) and in the high mountains you don't even need a strong storm to make wind dangerous, because it can change so fast not over time, but over space, you can have perfect calm at one point on the road and a brutal side wind just a few meters later.
I consider 45s almost pointless, not truly all-condition but also not deep enough to be worth having as an alternative to the true all-conditions setup. But this might be different for lighter riders, it's quite possible that for me 60s are perfectly fine as "95% wheels", but would be true "always think twice about wheel depth" wheels for someone lighter.

Yep, I run the 60's fulltime. I've had no issues with handling crosswinds etc. It's definitely my favorite wheelset. If I were riding in the high mountains, I would just get a very shallow light wheelset as well. For such a gorgeous wheelset, you almost have to run the 60's to show-off the carbon layup. haha.

Thanks for the insights. I ordered a set of the “regular” Bora WTO 60 C23. Ordered a set of CULT bearings for both wheels too. Would have looked at the Ultra, but the price I found for the regular model couldn’t be beat. Worst case, these will be an easy way to test them out before sinking money into the Ultras. Hoping to have them by at least New Year if not by Christmas. My wife always knows exactly what I want for Christmas! lol! Took into consideration feedback from URS too. I figured being 5’8” and range anywhere between 165-175lbs depending on the season. I’m also a midwesterner and don’t exactly take trips to the Rockies or the Alps. So, these should do for me and the rolling hills we have around here.

That's awesome. I had the C19 WTO non-ultra and those wheels were superb. Throwing the CULT bearings into your C23's should make for an awesome set! You'll see, all the Bora hype is real. You hear it from people running these on Shimano and sram bikes they are so good.

Hi, anyone can weight the new freehub body with USB bearings on Ultra? Like XDRA33USB.

Hi,
does anyone use the 45 or 60 C23 with 30mm or 32mm tires?
I am looking for some new wheels to add to my Officina Battaglin Palladio and still exchange an "old" Roval CL 50 Disc from my Festka One.
Concerning Campa, I also use a Lavente wheelset on my Festka Rover for about 27000km without any issues yet, which means the bearings are very good.
Concerning aerodynamics and the use of bigger tires 30mm up to 32mm Campa seems to be "old school" concerning rim width, with a maximum of 29mm.

The C23 is optimized for 28mm tires which is the currently preferred by most racers. I’m sure 30 or 32’s would be fine but IMO that’s too much for my local roads and adds a lot of rotational weight.
I’ve ridden 32’s on the C19 rim before and it was fine. I’m sure the C23 would feel better.

My WTO 60s just arrived!!! Stunning! They don’t look as deep in person compared to preconceived perception that I had built up in my mind.
I have a question about construction. There are what looks like three very small weep holes on one sidewall of both the front and back rim. They’re spread around the circumference of the wheel and are approximately 1 - 1.5 cm from the outer edge of the wheel hook beads. Is that deliberate and what these are designed for?
Thanks!

Congrats! I believe what you’re seeing are the holes to allow water to drain if it gets into the rim.

Does anyone have a direct comparison between between Bora C23 45 or 60 and a modern Chinese wheelset with carbon spokes? I learned the current hubs are not great.
The discount on bike24 is good.
Nearly the same price as CRW 50/60, which where on my focus before.
Looking for a light, stiff wheelset with good acceleration attributes for my SL8
