How did you guys decide on Farsports vs Winspace, Light Bicycle and other similar built Chinese carbon spoke wheels? Purely on spec sheet?
For me it was the weight, cost and internal rim width. I ended up ordering the 58mm Farsports wheels with ceramic bearings.

It came down to a combination of price, weight and reputation for me. The three manufacturers you mentioned are reputable but at first I was actually looking at Craft Race Wheels. They are new and were having quality control issues that I believe have been resolved. They are priced much higher than the Farsports, which had a 10% off sale in November and I got free FedEx shipping. So, ultimately price was a major factor in my decision.

2 years ago on my first wheelset I went with Farsports because:
DTSwiss 240EXP hubs + Sapim CX-sapim spoke are well known and high quality
So only the rim were unknown to me.

For me that beat Winspace, which had good reviews on YouTube. But I don't trust YouTubers by default, because they often get the product for free or get paid for their reviews.
Light Bicycle was a close 2nd place, but they were more expensive at the time and in Europe I could only get the 350 hub, but I wanted the 240.

Now for my 2nd wheelset I went with Farsports again because:
I am confident in their quality, so now I went with their carbon spokes and 270 hub
Around $1000 for a 45mm deep wheelset with carbon spokes at 1170g is a great price/weight ratio.
I'll give my old wheels to my gf and will drop the weight of my bike by another 200g that way.
This time I didn't even check Light Bicycle
I checked Winspace: more expensive + heavier

Similar response as others... The list gets pretty short when you're looking for a 24mm-25mm internal width. You're either going with the big names of Enve, Zipp, Reserve, or looking at Chinese options. Light Bicycle, BTLOS, and Farsports all have years long reputations, and I've had experience with all of them, and would order from them each again. I chose Farsports for the most recent order as a result of their sale pricing. They tend to come in ~$200 or so cheaper than Light Bicycle for a comparable build from the numbers I was looking at. I had planned on going light weight, mid depth, with high end DT180 hubs, but with the sale, I decided it was time to give carbon spokes a try so I ordered their RD270 build based off of positive reviews of the engineering and construction.

Pretty similar to my thinking. As well, besides the great reviews farsports has across the board, hookless carbon wheels are relatively uncomplicated to manufacture and are much stronger than hooked, and hooked rim brake.

Yep, prety much my reasons for going with Farsports. First set was purchased in Feb this year (DT240 +Sapim spokes) & was very happy with the wheelset. Decided to go for the 270 Hub + Carbon spokes second time round, just to try something different. Farsports customer service, the feedback on this page & the pricepoint were all major factors when deciding to go with Farsports.

Just installed the Farsports Hyper 50mm wheels (matte finish) with the carbon spokes and 270 hub. Internal width 24mm, external width 30mm. Wheels weighed 1230 grams with rim tape. Tires are the Continental GP 5000 TR 28mm, tubeless. Was able to put the tires on by hand without tire levers. Used a conventional floor pump to secure the bead. No leaking of sealant.

Shipping was via FedEx.Took less than a week to arrive.

I'm going for a 60-mile ride tomorrow and will comment about the wheels. Coming from 26mm tires and inexperienced with 28mm tires, I looked at four tire pressure calculators, including the SRAM/Zipp one, and will be starting out with a tire pressure of 60 psi. At that pressure, the aero profile of the tire and wheels looks good. The two are about equal in width. If one is wider, it's the rim just barely. The Farsports wheels got my Tarmac SL8 Pro down to 15 pounds including the pedals.
Went for a 60 mile ride today with the Farsports Hyper 50mm wheels (24mm internal width, 30mm external). Tires GP 5000 TR 28mm. Previous wheels on the Tarmac SL8 bike were Roval Rapide CL 2 50m/60mm (1597 grams) with 26mm tires. The lighter Farsports wheels climbed and accelerated better than the Rovals. At a steady pace on flats (25 - 27 mph) the wheels were about equal. The Farsport's ride characteristics were good especially with 28mm tires (62 psi) versus the 26mm tires. Noticeably less vibration and smoother especially on chip-and-seals roads. They seemed fine in light cross winds. There was one hard gust that grabbed the front wheel but it would have done same for the Rovals. Overall thumbs up so far. Not the fastest wheels I've owned though. My favorite were the Hunt 52mm Aerodynamicist on my rim-brake Cannondale Evo Six.

For me it was the custom nature of what I could order, combined with a good price and overall excellent reviews. And they were easy to deal with on WhatsApp.

Any day now the weather might clear up and I may actually be able to ride the new wheels. First time I've ever had deep section wheels, so I kinda want good weather...just in case

I got DT350s, just threw some new rotors and a cassette on. After I got them on the bike, I started wondering if I should've added some grease to the hubs or something. Any advice?
