Continental GP5000 AS TR (winter road tire)

There were a few leaked images of these a few months ago, but I've never seen them for sale anywhere. Now, I managed to get my hands on them. I have yet to ride these. Definitely heavy af (28c are 340g).



Does anyone have any experience yet? Also, they are quite high up on BRR voting, so we'll probably know relatively soon how these perform in terms of puncture protection, CRR and grip.

Really really easy to set up. Just a normal track pump and they went onto the ENVE 6.7 no problem. Holding air super well, without sealant.
29mm wide on 23 TSS internal.

Officially they have a reflective sidewall, but I don't really see it working. There is something there, but it sparkles very lightly in direct headlights. Not really what I was hoping for.

I love Conti tyres but the tubeless road goers are more than I am willing to pay.
Oh well. Getting to try other tyres out.

They are the successor of the All-Season to some extend, but really, they are an All-Season version (different rubber compound, more puncture protection) of the S TR.
The width and tread look exactly the same. They are both HL compatible etc.

I don't think they were meant to be sold now, since that's the only place they have them.

There's been no official announcement yet. Maybe they're a replacement for the old Grand Prix tyres that were tougher than the GP 4000/5000

First 100k on the tire, got a little wider (29.0 to 29.5). Quite grippy on 0C asphalt. It feels a little harsh compared to GP5000s TR, but that was kinda expected, with them being reinforced on the sidewalls.

If you have room, the Gp5000 35mm urban is a killer winter tyre, but tube only.
The compound is winter-wet but still bloody fast
