How do you like the ICAN wheels? Those are the cheaper ones right? I've only really seen reviews of the "aero" series.
The CAAD Build Thread...

Missed this post. I would not have bought this. For me, I would not ride this anymore. Hope you got it very cheap as the frame has no value and it is only the parts that have some value.waltthizzney wrote: ↑Thu Jul 07, 2022 7:01 pmI got this CAAD9 for cheap, do you think its safe to build up and ride?

Joined the club today. Found this bike for $50 somehow, cleaned and stripped it. I am thinking R7000 with Silver Alloy Finishing Kit. Hopefully be around 16-17lbs
First bought the new 105 full bike with Mavic Aksiums in 2019. Been wanting Campy stuff since but could never pull the trigger because of a) the subpar riding conditions around me b) 105 does function flawlessly. Moved last month and FINALLY.
Special thanks to everyone who contributed to the glueing tubulars thread! Thanks to you guys, my first glue job went more smoothly than I thought was possible, and I'd never even changed a clincher tyre before. And to the fellas at Helen's Cycles Santa Monica - top notch service for really good prices.
In a moment of overwhelming joy I forgot to ask them to weigh the bike. My estimate is in the 7.5 kg range. It will drop ~150 grams when I put on Darimo seatpost and Selle Italia SLR Boost next month.

I know it's a long time ago but I had to say how cool this build is.

Those bottle cages HAD to go too. It's amazing how some slammage transforms a bike. Great buy.

My new to me caad 10 56cm. Just opened today. Very good frameset. No dents or dings. Had one before instantly regretted selling it. Plans are sisl2 spidering 9100 mechanical. Black inc bars and sub 7kg the target. Good base to start with. Took me 3 months to find this
8.21kg with pedals. Standard frame group set etc. and just standard shimano wheels with a old 11/28.
Sub 7kg is the goal.
