I am thinking of doing a respray of my CAAD 10 with Spray.Bike. But I am having a hard time to find the CAAD10 specefic decals! Any ideas of where to get them?
Lol yeah I realized after I had posted this that it was flat. Going to put on a premium plus fork in the next couple of days. That headset it has now is a stopgap, it rises so so much out of the top of the head tube and is only hidden by the bearing cap. Saddle position is personal preference. Other than that it flies like the wind.
No worries just spotted the flat and thought its kind of funny to post a bike with a flat ^^ and of coures the position has to work for you whatever it looks like! New fork from the tt rig ? why not get a caad fork, if you look aorund a bit you can find them for pretty cheap (~50) and imo this would be the best fit for the bike. Again just saying ...pnczur wrote: ↑Thu Jun 18, 2020 11:19 amLol yeah I realized after I had posted this that it was flat. Going to put on a premium plus fork in the next couple of days. Hey PNK, Lol I was of the same mind when I found this little gem of a Premium Plus fork on eBay recently. I’m going to do the final 11 speed setup soon, it’a just that this 9sp setup is working so well, might keep it that way a little longer. I do have one question though, I want to slam the stem but I haven’t been able to find a low stack headset, any recommendations would help, thanks.

Looks better with the new fork and flush steerer. About a low stack headset, I am not really shure, you should take/ look up the measures of your bearings and see if you can find an appropriate one. It might be possible to just uses a lower headset cover, like the "slamthatstem" one or use the cover of the "old" SuperSix (cf https://www.cannondalespares.com/Cannon ... il/3-40270 ). BTW I rode my caad 10 for 2 years with 9-speed setup before upgrading to 11-speed, the main reason for me was to get a compact crank and then to macht anything to the new crank, functional no real difference at all^^pnczur wrote: ↑Tue Jun 23, 2020 9:30 amDA192875-2C87-4C6D-986F-AF6BE08C199B.jpeg31622CAD-5671-4E76-9E7F-2C20A0F4353D.jpeg

Nice CAAD's in here. As a newbe 2018 CAAD 12 disc owner I'm curious what kind of quick releases you are using. I run steel DT Swiss now. These are quite heavy at 120gr. Would be nice to cut down at least half this weight. But they should be safe running disc brakes.

Not much action in here lately. Let me show my 2018 CAAD12 disc 105. Not a weightweenie yet...and that is an understatement. In standard configuration I think it is over 9kg!! Even now with some lightweight parts it is around 8.5kg. First plan is to cut down to below 8kg and eventually end up around 7.5kg.
I already changed the bar from stock Cannondale 38cm wide (288gr) to Thomson Carbon 42cm wide (203gr), stock Selle Royal saddle (254gr) to SQlab 612R carbon (130gr), stock Cannondale seatpost (285gr) to Thomson Elite (255gr) - uncut for now.
I'm currently waiting on Cannondale SI HG cranks which receive a Spidering SL (10 arm) which will save about 150gr compared to the stock SI cranks and FSA chainrings. I'm also going to change the QR's from stock (120gr) to ZIPP (88gr) and I'm going to test a Tubolito S tube (21gr) which saves a lot compared to the current butyl tube (102gr). If I like the Tubolito I will change the back also.
Further I'm running Look Carbon-TI pedals (190gr), DA discs 160mm/140mm and Elite Vico Carbon bottlecages (26gr each).
The DT Swiss wheels look nice but weigh a lot (1786gr). I'm looking into building a set with some lower (carbon?) rims and hope to save at least 300gr. But that is something for later this year, aswell as looking into changing the boat anchor Shimano parts...
