The CAAD Build Thread...

I've stripped a CAAD10 with a top tube dent with no problems, it is still on the road today, so I think it will be alright.
If you are good at spray painting you can definitely get a good finish on it. Paint prep and primer are important to get a lasting paint job, but spray paint alone should still look good it just has a higher possibility of chipping.

Cool thanks! Could you post pics? Did you leave it raw or paint?
Take a look at this thread for info on stripping/finishing: viewtopic.php?t=99123
Also, I just had a 2002 Derosa UD (909g bare frame!) stripped using abrasive media - no issues.

Hi all
A new joiner here who is about to start building a caad12 disc from scratch. Pics of my caad 9 and supersix dales attached! Caad9 had a sramano mix and some different bar tape and fork choices. The supersix came with fsa gossamer and 105 and now ultegra with various bits and pieces changed along the way and now for sale

That SuperSix photo is taken in Llanrwst isn't it? I drove over that bridge on the way to Snowdon a few months ago and was quite surprised to find another car heading straight towards me!

Almost finished at this stage I believe.
CAAD6 Saeco Team size 52
SRAM Force22 (50/34 172.5 and 11-28)
PX 60mm wheels w Tufo S33 PRO 24 and Ti skewers (Aliexpress)
C1 Seatpost, C1 Stem, C2 bars. Sub 100g carbon saddle (Aliexpress) and Cinelli Gel bartape.
This must be one of my favourite liveries amongst all road bikes to be honest. Plus this same livery was my first ever proper road bike some 3 yr ago, so a bit sentimental value too lol.
Ran out of ideas how to make it lighter on a budget, so any ideas welcome.

I love to see the old USA caad projects. Beautiful bike. Is it bb30?

Thanks!! Yeah you spotted right it is bb30, which means the BB bearings is the only thing on it that I can not do myself
Looked at a few CAADs in here still a bit shocked how people get them to 6.3-7kg :O
