hi! some of you saw how i painted my 2010 caad10 (celeste and purple) and can see it at the top of the previous page. i just picked up another caad10 frame thats been stripped to the aluminum to have as a project frame. i've been thinking of painting it like the f-si throwback mtb frame (blue with yellow logos) and then selling it, but figured i'd offer it up here first. if anyone is interested in buying, i'd be happy to paint it however you'd like!
i'll give it a week or so to see if anyone is interested, if not i'm just guna paint how i'd like and either try to sell or keep myself

Good luck wth the sale, I read that post and after reading the build thread again you shouldnt have any problems selling it. Ton of work and money in it. Hope things work out for you.

How did you strip it? I've got an aluminium frame (not a CAAD) that I'd like to strip as a project bike too. It's a giant, with their ALUXX SL aluminium.lilteichmonster wrote: ↑Wed May 22, 2019 4:28 pmhi! some of you saw how i painted my 2010 caad10 (celeste and purple) and can see it at the top of the previous page. i just picked up another caad10 frame thats been stripped to the aluminum to have as a project frame. i've been thinking of painting it like the f-si throwback mtb frame (blue with yellow logos) and then selling it, but figured i'd offer it up here first. if anyone is interested in buying, i'd be happy to paint it however you'd like!

This is my CAAD10 2015 vintage following a custom paint finish earlier this year by Wallis Paints in Brisbane. Unsure of it's weight but I should get it on some accurate scales one of these days for my interest.

Painted another caad10. This one is an homage to the late 90s early 00s caad 3/4/5 mtb frames with faux headshok! The fork isn't clear coated yet but was too excited not to share and figured this was a good spot to do so....

Thats a lot of money but it's a great bike. If you know the seller, can get some sort of warranty, if it has carbon wheels and the Spidering crank and Dura Ace 9100 then yes.
I look at about £1200 (guessing $1500-ish) as a figure for second hand Dura Ace bikes in good condition.
The Caad12 is a great frame, I currently have a Supersix Hi-mod and Caad 12 and I'm no quicker on the Supersix. Get some pics up if you do go ahead.
Even considering all the technical inovations over the last few years, realistically a Dura Ace Caad12 is good enough to win the Tour De France on.
