Hello. This is my trusty CAAD from the Western suburbs of Melbourne, Australia.

Image

Currently sitting at 8.6kg as pictured, though looking to change a few things and bringing that number down to the mid 7kgs. Ditching the SRAM GXP cranks and Praxis conversion BB should free up a bit of weight.

Wow that is a “proper” looking bike! First time I’ve seen a set back post in that style look good on a road bike as well (IMO...). Nice.

+1 on the seat post!

I'm surprised the build is that heavy, though.

Thanks for the kind words. I'm pretty content with how it looks for the moment. Now to lose some weight without changing appearances too much.

The wheelset (T11 x TB-14s, 28f/32r, with DT Comps) is another area where I can free up a good amount of weight. Without the Garmin, handlebar bag, frame pump, and rear light, it comes in at 7.95kg.

Interesting angle on the headunit mount, not to mention the cables/junction up front and no bottle cages.

It has Arundel bottle cages. I was cleaning the bike and had removed them to wipe the frame down and forgot to put them back on before taking the photo sorry.
What do you mean about the headunit angle and cables?

My trusty 2012 CaadX, used on a 20k commute every day, all year round. Love the comfy yet agile ride feel, never had any issues whatsoever.
Full Zipp Service Course cockpit and post, Ultegra 2x11 drivetrain and 105 brifters. TRP brakes, Aksium wheels with G-One rubbers. Weighs in at 9.5kg.
