What's wrong with SRAM cranks? Nothing on the bike is heritage or classic, it's modern steel. Silver cranks not only look out of place in the basic aethetics but also do not match the overall feel of the bike.

Ready for the summer with new tires because the Veloflex ones were too flimsy for bad roads. Applied Aquasure to keep them as new. Also switched from a 13-26 to a 13-29 cassette because I'm not getting any younger...

It is a clear coating recommended by Dugast to make cotton sidewalls water resistant. As an added bonus the sidewalls stay almost as new...

Sure are, well, the Fulcrum 5 LGs. The stickers on them look dreadful, plus having the spoke nipples matching the frame is neat.

Heres my lovely '86 Merckx Extra Corsa. I recently moved to Germany from Australia and found this in Munich. I had my heart set on a Basso Gap of the same era but just missed out and then came upon this.
It's a little bit big for me but I made it work and I only use it for scooting around down or to the nearby lakes etc and it's just so much fun riding it!
The colourway is quite beautiful I think, its got a noce pearl effect to it and came with a complete Dura Ace 7400 gruppo which is works like a dream.
It has a fair share of battle scars but adds to the character I think so I will leave it like that. It needs new cables, bar tape and a general tidy up but atm it's great the way it is.
I did abit of searching on the interwebs and this colourway is from Team TeVe Blad, I haven't been able to find much else about it however.

Updated! Finally got my THM bb from Germany, so fitted the M3 cranks with the silver chainrings from Sugino. All is well; I am really happy with it now, I really wanted to do a modern steel bike, with a mix of carbon and silver parts. Loosely inspired by the 10 speed era, when Campy were starting to roll out carbon parts but mixed with silver anodizing. (I went half black half silver on the Chris King headset.)
The GAMSHARA frame weights 1.72kg and is equivalent to a traditional 55.5cm frame. The fork is a Columbus Grammy.
The bottle cages are NITTO stainless, seat/post are DASH, stem and hubs are EXTRALITE.

Next step is to replace the THOMSON drop with something else w/no logos and a slightly more comfortable shape, and get rid of the blips, because I never use them. Also going to switch out the rear Ultegra brake with a matching eeBrake direct mount one.

And this one, is my good friend's NAGASAWA road bike, which I built up for him, after he had it custom made for him by Yoshiaki Nagasawa early this year.
