Anyone still have a steel bike?

There is a nice elasticity to a high quality steel fork that no carbon fork can have, I agree.

I have recently ordered my dream bike, a Baum Ristretto, Enve 2.0 fork, Enve seat post - 25mm set back, Enve bars, CK headset-BB-and hubs all in silver, shimano mech r8000 group set, Hed C2 plus tubular rims with Veloflex Vlaanderen tyres. The process of a getting a fully custom bike has been very fun so far!

I'm in the process of ordering a new steel frame and will be getting a Bob Jackson World Tour (same colour as shown in the photo:)
I will be getting the disc brake version with Chrome front fork blades up to 6″ and Chrome rear up to 6″ .... it will be with Reynolds 853 Frame/ 725 Rear and Stays
lugs will be chromed Newvex Lugset:
groupset will be Dura Ace mechanical and wheels will be HED Belgium Plus with a Son 28 dynamo hub and Chris King rear hub. Bottom bracket and headset will be Chris King
this bike will be able to fit 32 wide tyres with full mudguards. Saddle will be a Brooks ... This will be my winter bike and I will use it for some long Audax rides
I'm hoping to have it ready by mid October

Nothing remotely weightweenie but after a lot of doubts about which way to go my 1990 nostalgia bike with 10-speed cheat is almost done. Still in doubt about applying Scott decals to the bar extentions or leave it like this.
Here's 18-year old me in Austria in 1991 (on a students budget with Shimano RX100)

I bought this tatty Liotto Super with a view to custom. Stripped and painted olive drab with new decals designed using the current Liotto logo. The frame weighs a respectable 1600g (Columbus Genius), built up with 10 speed Record, finished with a polished 3T cockpit.
Fow does she ride? I always lusted after a columbus genius frame.
