Not so love here...

I'm the only one here, or are the other canyon owners with problems of the finish of their frames?

First I got a frameset with scrathes to the fork. So a new fork
Seccond the fork didn't match the frame color... So a new frameser
Thrird I got a new frameset, but there already a small paint chip on the (new..) fork and the frame had a strange lump on the downtube...

According to Canyon " within" the marge ...
Any experience with this?
you can't expect perfect finish, even expensive cars don't have that.
anyway no one will see it once you put on the chainring...
I have a similar lump on the downtube of my Ultimate CF SLX. It's on the top of the tube, right in the middle, a few inches down from the intersection with the bottom of the headtube. Is yours the same? Given how "central" it looks, I always assumed it was normal - a part of the manufacturing / finishing process.

Is yours the same? It's a tiny lump, very smooth and flat.. given how "central" it looks, I always assumed it was normal - a part of the manufacturing / finishing process.

Indeed on exact the same location, on the top of the downtube on the intersection of the bottom bracket. On the inside the carbon feels smooth, so not constructional problems as it seems. But it looks kind of cheap and badly finished. Probably also more visible because of the Jett Silver color.

I'm thinking of returning the frame and go for another one but than in black, so not the Jett Silver. Or to go away from Canyon and to go for an Cervelo R3 Disc 2018.

Well, not exactly the same location, but similar. I decided to live with it; you get a lot of frame for the price - and it's a pro-tour proven frame. It's an exceptional bike to ride.

For those looking for frame weights, my (non-Disc) CF SLX, size S in black:

Frame 782g (incl. both hangers)
add headset bearings @ 37g
Fork 324g (incl. the nut, which came pre-installed as I bought the complete bike and sold gruppo/wheels)

So that's 1143g frame/fork/headset/hangers. Remember no seat clamp required as it's internal.

As mentioned in another post my set is a bit heavier as promised by Canyon:

Ultimate CF SLX Disc in size Small, jett silver. Frame, with just the seatpost sleave in the frame and brake/derr. liners, otherwise al hardware removed: 846 gram (820 gram in medium claimed, +3%) Fork, removed al hardware with just the brake liner in it, steerer of 210 mm: 364 gram ...

Indeed not a bad price for such a set, but the disapointing finish and weight might be enough to pay some extra for a Cervelo.

Indeed there's always some diffrences between them, but a small should weigh at least as a medium, not even more.

Very nice! Red and white and black and gumwalls go so well together, good choice  .

P.S. someone will say you should make the wheel decals black, but I think they look better white.
