Hi can anyone confirm the actual weight of the current Aeroad CF SLX 8.0 disc (mechanical)? Advertised as 7.3kg. Thanks.

I would really like some new colours. They should do a movistar version of the Ultimate cf slx.

Im trying to compare this with the Scott Foil 20 disc which is qouted as 1kg extra at 8.35kg for similar spec apart from the wheels. My current 2016 Aeroad 8.0 di2 was 300-400g over the qouted weight for size large so im assuming 7.3kg for the Aeroad 8.0 disc might be a bit optimistic.

I would also love to know this.

Also, has anybody ever swapped batteries on an Aeroad? I have a 2016 8.0 with Ultegra Di2, I want to install the latest shimano battery (BT-DN110) so I can use the e-tube app (Mac user). I have opened up the little bit of plastic on the underneath of the bike near the bottom bracket shell but it looks like the bottom bracket will have to be removed in order to get the existing battery out - somebody please tell me this cannot be true?!

Well in that case, all I can say is that is a truly shambolic piece of design for assembly. Infuriating!

if you're lucky enough to expand the crank. if the grommet is mounted between the two bearings, the space will not be enough to push the battery out of the bottom bracket opening. Generally, it is easier if a bearing is removed. best to install new bearings right now. have fun :-)

So my Endurace was just delivered and I was installing it. I installed the front wheel and noticed it has way too much space and the fork was flexing. Then I noticed the bearing was exposed.

I looked around and found a piece that looks like it fits. Does anyone know if the photo below is the correct way to install front wheel? Nothing else needed in between it? I'm disappointed there were no instructions in the manual about this.

Had an annoying rattle in the front end of my Aeroad CF SLX which only developed over the last 600km's. It has been baffling me as I tourqued up everthing and couldn't find anything loose!!! Until yesterday, the front shifter for the front derailler and front brake had about 5mm of slack when it was pulled when using the brake. This was ratlling and so was the front direct mount brake as the cable had some slack in it! Don't know how or why but I replaced the inner cable and I'll give it a spin tomorrow night to see if its sorted.

Anyone have a similar experience and if so how did they cure it?

Thanks.

So I finally installed everything on my new Endurace but I noticed everything seemed to be used. Used but in new condition. Canyon paste residue on the seatpost & steerer, rotors already seen friction from brake pads, anti seize compound on crankarm threads, etc. It's not a big deal but it's kinda disappointing since I have no idea what the previous person did.
