That is a super nice Pelizzoli!

My town is getting a new Velodrome for the PanAm games so I just finished my track bike. Not really weight weenie though! It is about 7.3 kg.

The frame is a Marinoni 40th anniversary lugged track. Earlier this year they announced a 40th anniversary road frame that looked awesome but I didn't pay all that much attention to it since I wasn't in the market for a road bike. A couple people who had dealt with Marinoni in the past suggested I call them and do a bit of arm twisting to see if they could make me a track version. They agreed! Anyways, this is the last batch of lugged frames that Marinoni will braze himself. Going to try it out on the track tomorrow for the first time!

Tubeset is Columbus SL. Geometry is custom (54 square). Wheels are White Industries track hubs laced to Ambrosio Cronos F20 tubular rims 3x, with Veloflex Record tires. Nitto bar/stem/bars and Miche crankset.

Perhaps a Campagnolo Pista crankset, otherwise it's absolutely perfect!
And if I ever meet an aardvark, I'm going to step on its damn protruding nasal implement until it couldn't suck up an insect if its life depended on it.

Very jealous of your marinoni frame, I'm still fighting the idea of getting one done this winter as he's local to me and I had the chance to meet him at the launch of his documentary.

Thanks!

I thought about the Campagnolo Pista crankset, but I already had this crank and it had only 100km on it, so I couldn't justify the price of it without at least riding it with what I had and seeing how the ring size works out on the track. I would be surprised if there was much of a performance difference, but if I see one for a reasonable price I would consider. Could get really picky about Japanese parts and stuff on it too...but at this point its a real mix of origins :) Canadian, American, Italian...

You should do it. His frames are very reasonable! I still haven't seen the documentary. I found out about it the day after it debuted in Toronto at HotDocs.
