Indeed, the CAAD13 and the Allez, the last of the Mohicans.
Actually one of my first wet dreams was the CAAD3, in Saeco red obviously!
I even tried to source one a couple of years ago just so i could put some Spinergy wheels on it and stare at it the whole day long, but aluminium frames back then, especially the early CAAD's had a tendency to rot away at the BB, all the ones i was able to track down here in belgium were pretty much totaled due to corrosion needless to say i could never find one in decent shape.
Either way, very cool that you gave a honorable new life to that bike.

Those integrated handlebars aren't the lightest. I've got the same ones. Also rotors and lock ring, thru axles, expander plug... there's more wiggle room than most realize. Also slam that stem and cut the excess off.Amrlrshd wrote: ↑Wed Oct 28, 2020 7:34 am2021 Giant TCR Advanced SL S size

Order finally arrived!
2021 TCR Advanced SL Zero
Size Medium
AXS Red 12s Groupset
Some small changes/additions:
Deda Carbon Bartape

Absolute Black Lockrings
J&L Thru Axles
Used motorcycle tire sealant (as suggested by my LBS)
Carbon Bar Ends
Giant Carbon Bottle Cages

Position still needs to be dialed in, lots of spacers up front, higher than my other rides.
I'll probably shave a wee bit more when some of my items on order arrive.

Just sharing some better photos.
Just some quick notes:
- eTap 12s is noticeably faster, and drivetrain is quieter as well
- Cadex wheels spin fast, comparable to WTOs
- Geometry change not as noticeable from previous models, maybe I'll need more mileage on it
LBS suggested using thicker motorcycle/scooter sealant, which in theory should be better but it might be too thick that I can feel it pooling and creates some wheel jitter when descending past 50kph.

My bike, but sadly not my house. Rented it for the weekened, it's at the top of a hill surounded by climbs. Win-win. I'll definitely be back

etap 12 is faster ? for changing gears ?
otherwhise it isn't , it's a turd according to efficency tests etc, might be better now that they area releasing bigger chainrings to the public

I would expect the Cadex wheels with carbon spokes to be stiffer than the Bora WTO?shotgun1 wrote: ↑Tue Mar 23, 2021 7:05 amJust sharing some better photos.

In general I woudl suggest tan wall tyres to finish it off.

Early days, probably put in less than 100km on them so far. Our goverment just announced a full month's lock down, so it'll be some time before I can add some more. Duly noted on the gumwall. Only "compatible" choice are Schwalbe Pro One TT tires, which won't last long on roads I ride on sadle. But, I'm on the lookout.

Yup, from the 11s shifting. Yeah, 10t cassette and smaller chainrings are going opposite the trend. If we choose to move up chairning, it'll include the power meter as well. SRAM claim that they'll offer a discount for replacement, but its still a good waste of a working PM.romanmoser wrote: ↑Fri Mar 26, 2021 1:49 pmetap 12 is faster ? for changing gears ?

If I'm correct Veloflex has tubeless tyres with tan/gum wall?

Thanks for this Bruno2000! I'll try to source this soonest. Looks like Cadex hasn't tested it yet.bruno2000 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 29, 2021 2:54 pm

Hi
I have surfed a lot of pages here now, but still wondering; are there someone here who have 28mm tires on the 2018-2020 TCR with rim brakes? I am looking for a new frame, and both the new and the last TCR is on the list, but i need space for 28mm GP5k with 18mm rims.
