I bought a 2018 Giant TCR Advanced Pro 1 earlier this year. Took off the Ultegra R8000 group set, and used it to upgrade my 2016 CAAD12 105. Bought a Dura-Ace R9100 groupset for the TCR. I also switched wheels, and put the stock TCR wheels on my CAAD12. I bought 25mm 60mm deep aero wheels from a company in Beijing that were on the CAAD12. The wheels have aero spokes, DT Swiss 350 hubs, and were hand built by orders. I bought the wheels for $490. on sale from a company rep on Ebay, after reading a British newsgroup about the company. Very happy with the chance I took. High quality wheels. Saved a bundle.

Nice  I don't usually like TCR's or discs, but this is an exception.

P.S. is that somewhere on the south side?

Jumped head first into disc brakes. 2019 TCR SL 0 Disc. 7.3kg as pictured in large.
I've added 9100 pedals, King Ti cages, S-Works stealth saddle, 3t Rotundo 42cm (alloy), and a Pro stem 120mm.

Was in a rush to get it ready to race so next step is hiding that ghastly Di2 cable.

Run the di2 cable in through the same entry point that the rear brake hose enters the frame. And heat shrink those two together so it looks like 1 hose.

My 2013 Propel 7120 grms

Fourier brake set
Rolf TDF 60 tubs
Vittoria Corsa cx 23 mm front 25 mm back
Rotor cranks P2max 53/34 rings fast/slow !
Dura ace pedals
Sellia Italia flite 1999 saddle
Sram red shifters mech
KCNC EXL chain
Sram 1070 cassette

It could go down to 6700 grms
with;

Carbon saddle - 160 grms
remove P2max - 220 grms
recon cassette -120 grms
Ti roller chain - 40 grm

fork upgrade not sure of saving ...140 grm

It's rather stiff, fast and bloody awesome, though the brakes are still, meh.I have a Chinese Costello aero frame set arriving soon.

Hi. Did you see a noticeable difference with the fourier brake set? I am about to buy a new brake set for my 2016 Propel.

My frame is a 2013 model and to switch from 17 mm - 25 mm rim widths meant re-clamping brake cables each time you switch wheelsets.

As for braking performance I would say try going to softer pads first and jagwire brake housing, the softer pads will wear fast but brake better.
The Fouriers an improvement over the TRP giant ones? Well I think they have a better braking feel ie more confidence.

Though everytime you change or remove wheels you have to re- set left right spring adjustment a bit of a pain, but when a Propel is well set up, as you know, it's like a rocket ship !

However I'm going back to caliper brakes on my next aero frame a Chinese Costello .... :D
