Here's my Propel Advanced SL Disc 1. Want a lighter wheelset starting from 40mm deep. The SLR1 Aero wheels are stiff but the rear wheel is too heavy. Look forward to seeing eTap 12-speed.

Hi Everyone!

Here is my (new to me) 2015 Propel Advanced SL

Shimano Dura Ace 9100
Speedplay Zero Stainless
Fulcrum Quattro Carbon
Fizik Antares
Giant Contact SLR integrated bar and stem

Image

She comes in at 7.3kg. I'm hoping to go to 6.5kg somehow. Other than a lighter tubular wheelset what can I do? I have a new saddle and Ti hardware for the pedals coming in.

Cheers!

Chad

Really nice bike, I love Propel in white.
A little lighter saddle and tubular wheels will take you under 7000grams, but for under that I guess you need something extreme. Ultralight bars, saddles, pedals and so on I believe.

Here is my Propel, Size M, with Dura-Ace 9000 and 3T Orbis II T35LTD wheelset. I have Contact SLR bar and stem (not integrated) and Fizik Arione R3 saddle. She weights just under 7000 grams.

Here’s my baby

2018 TCR advanced pro (m/l)
Shimano 105 (good enough for me for now)
3T superergo team stealth (42cm)
Tacx Deva cages
Ultegra R8000 pedals
Zipp 302 clinchers wrapped with 25c gp4000s
C-bear bottom bracket
Ceramic Speed pulley wheels
Specialized romin pro saddle
Supacaz velvet bar tape

Looking to upgrade brakes maybe to some FSA sl-k or ultegra ?
for some stronger stopping and drop some weight

And eyeballing a bit of a longer stem, perhaps the zipp OS

Open to suggestions

Have not weighed my steed yet, will do so in the next bit

All up, my medium sample weighs exactly 8kg (17.64lb) without pedals.

Are TT bikes allowed?

My first TT bike and first Giant, Trinity Advanced. Pretty basic spec at present, will replace chainset for something lighter and probably a 4iiii left PM and then look to replace base bar and extensions for something nicer once I have my position sorted.

watch out the rear brake under chainstay. it may interfere with 4iiii PM sensor.

Is there any diference between Giant TCR advanced 1 / 2 / 3 ... despite the divertain?
The giant that I will buy is a TCR advanced 3, but with ultegra replaced.. so does it make the same as tcr advanced 1?

Frame and finishing kit is exactly the same apart from the wheels... The adv 1 uses PR-2's and the adv 3 uses SR-2's, not sure of the difference except the SR-2's are heavier.

Here is my 2016 TCR Advanced Pro 0 (2016 where the best colours for sure).

My scales are not gram accurate but current weight is 7.1kg, size M. This is my only finished bike!

I also try her with Reynolds but prefer the Mavic wheels:
