Thanks! My LBS friends did a great job on the build and I had a lot of fun shooting it… and then I got the bill
@ Tomstr My website is mostly automotive photography as that is what I do for a living, but I do have a fair amount of cycling shots posted on my instagram. Both are linked in my signature. Thanks

Thanks! The total weight is 7.79kg (17.15lbs) with pedals, cages, computer/k-edge mount, and a stages power meter. Was hoping for a little less, but not too surprising considering a friend with a similar build TCR Advanced rim brake bike is a bit over 7.2kg. Still have to trim the fork and put in a lighter compression plug, so that will knock a few grams off
Sorry, we forgot to weight the wheels but the frame with no hardware but with cage bolts is 890g and fork 370g- Size small.

Is this a custom color? I don't see this on the giant website.

Surprised at the weight as is a touch lighter than the Defy I own. I'd have thought a disc TCR to be in a 7.4-5kg range.
well,
here's my roadster
Giant TCR Advanced SL size M/L
Shimano Dura Ace brakes and cranks (52/36)
Shimano Ultegra Di2
Shimano C35 tubes /25mm tubes (9000 series)
PRO stealth evo cockpit
Prologo saddle
Stages powermeter
Look Carbon TI proteam pedals
Arundel Carbon bottlecages
total weight for now is 7.2 kg...still 400grams to go...
For climbing:
7850 series hub with C50 lookalike rims
Cranks (54/42)
For the flats
wishlist? pfff what not...

I don't think the TCR frames are much lighter than the Defy, if at all. I was told that the TCR Adv SL with the eTap is right around 6.8kg
I am sure it could have been built to be considerably lighter but wasn't worth the added cost to me and I can't tell the difference from my SL that is 6.8kg anyway

QUESTION, how are owners using the Giant Contact SLR OD2 stem attaching their Di2 junction box and Garmins?
https://www.giant-bicycles.com/us/conta ... stem-black
I'd 'like' a mount which attached to the faceplate for the Garmin but I'm struggling finding one.
I like the look of the mounts which screw into the stem for mounting the Di2 junction box and protrude out past the faceplate for the garmin, but there are no holes in the Giant stem.
I was considering drilling holes in the stem to attach one of these http://www.racewaredirect.co/shop/carbo ... -di2-clip/ but I'm concerned about messing with the structural integrity of the stem if I go about drilling holes in it..
Any advice would be appreciated.

You could always contact Raceware Direct and see if they can knock up something for you?

That is actually a neat solution to the junction box, I might get one of those.
I did email raceware and they called me back for a chat, nice fellows, they've looked at faceplate mounts but have found them too flimsy in testing, would need to be made from metal for a proper job which they say is too expensive.
I've another issue now, I need a 100mm stem anyone want to swap out for my 110mm Giant Contact SLR OD2 one?
