I've been out of the Colnago game for a few years but recently found a good deal on a C59 frame and just finished building it up. I know, it's not Campy but Etap is so nice to set up.

Looks really good!

What saddle is that? And is it the original seatpost?
Original seatpost with a Selle San Marco Concor.

Hello

This is my personal tribute to the mythical colnago moletni:

Frame - Colnago Export (columbus slx)- size 58
Seat post - Campagnolo Nuovo Record
Seat - Cinelli Unicanitor
Group - Colnago Nuovo Record Pat.74
Headset & Bottom Bracket - Campagnolo Nuovo Record
Brakes - Colnago Nuovo Record
Stem - Cinelli 100 mm
Bar - Cinelli Giro Italia 420mm
Bartape - Velox Tresorx
Bottle cages and hardware - Aluminium
Outer Cables - Jagwire Road -Grey
Chain - Regina Record 6v
Wheels - Mavic+Campagnolo Record hub
Brake Pads - Campagnolo
Inntertubes -
Tires - Tubular Vittoria
Pedals - Campagnolo Nuovo Record

I bought each component and mounted at my home for myself. The frameset I had to remove the old paint and polish it before to send to paint.

As you can see, in April I was invited to an event with Eddy Merckx in Bilbao (Spain) where I could meet him and he signed my bike and cap

Mom: He was very sickly until he started riding around on that bicycle.
Dad: Yeah... well... now his body’s fine, but his mind is gone.

The crankset looks like it was threaded and used as a triple at one time.

Looks great all built up.

Link to original post, to help explain its unique origin.

Did you get around to weighing the frameset?

My C40s. 1999 and 2003. Gen 2 and 3. The Rabobank is mostly NOS parts and was supposed to be true to the millennium team bike, but different headset (no more threadless conversions for DA available), more recent wheelset and 7800 brakes instead of 7700 for functionality. The rest of the 7700 group is ace.
