Currie - Agree. I think they've lost the plot. Internal headsets and the paint jobs just make them look an ordinary frame, for the most part, when previously they were one of the nicest looking frames out there.
I'm assuming they ride just as well as before.

You don't wear mismatched socks, a tan blazer with grey slacks, or paisley and plaid, do you? Yet they all technically "function" with one another...
Pizza is to beer, espresso stops are to sunday morning rides, as Colnagos are to Campy.
They're perfect for each other.

Hmmm... Should have left the frame and fork alone and got the 80th anniversary Boras. Would have been a much better combo in my opinion.

hey Willy that's nice!
the Matte black replaces what would be chrome on a Master.
You could have reproduced that transition between paint->matte black on that style at the seat stays area, ( or to make it extreme, painted matte black at the head tube lug just like is the chrome on the master ) but anyway it makes it more unique.
BTW I am buying me a NOS C-40 with the Mapei, Oscar Freire world champion paint scheme.
Interesting to notice the PR99 is named after the year Oscarito won his first World Championship, but that year we wasn't on a Colnago, the 2001 win was the first won on a Colnago C40, then he used the B-Stay one with that paint scheme on 2002.
That color scheme should be named then PR01

@Salsalover: The blues don't match. A silver stem would be nicer and tie in with the seatpost. And women have nothing on us when it comes to this thread
@Willy: like the top cap but the fork and stays are anything but subtle on that frame. Transition from white headtube to all black fork makes it look like an aftermarket addition. Same way that a lot of beautiful titanium frames will have this completely different looking carbon fork against the raw titanium of the frame. Forks that tie into the frame look so much nicer.
