Pictures of Colnagos

Do we have a general Colnago topic? I have a hypothetical question.
I love my C59. I thought I'd just keep it forever and even put a custom paint job on it someday and then ride it for another forever. The other day I saw a brand new C59 with a paint scheme I like even nicer. It would probably cost me $700 to "upgrade" to a new C59 with a different paint job after I sold my current frame.
The problem is that I really wish I could fit 25mm tires (measuring out to 27-28mm) on wide rims on the C59 but they will not leave enough clearance for the fork so I'm stuck with 23mm tires (measuring out to 25) on this bike.
So, I "upgrade" and stay on smaller tires or just sit tight and wait for a C64 some day to come my way. Or, even stray from the Colnago brand and get something like a Sarto Veneto SL which ticks a lot of boxes for me (geo slighly better than Colnago for me, and it will take 30mm tires) plus handmade and custom paint options available.

This has been discussed earlier also, but you only need small ”half moon” shaped fork dropout spacers to be able to fit larger tires. And file off the lawyer tabs so the qr can sit a little bit lower. Problem solved! I’ve been using 27mm tubulars also on my Extreme Power (with Star forks) with this trick for a couple years now.

Interesting. I hadn't thought of shimming it. I guess this is a DIY project as nobody makes anything that would perfect slide in.

Genius !!! So where do I find “small ”half moon” shaped fork dropout spacers” ?? I love this idea.....
I searched around and couldn't find anything like this. I think it's a DIY project.
Many years ago I saw something like this for sale. But I’m pretty sure @Eurperg did a post about this once (good luck finding it) and it was a DIY project. Couple pieces of plastic from somewhere that he just cut into halfmoon shapes. @eurperg?
