a bit late for this winter, but I take delivery of this one in a couple of weeks and use it as my daily commuter(365 days a year) , training bike and some shorter Audax rides:

A (used) Whyte Suffolk (I will add a rack, dynamo hub/lights and lighte tubeless ready wheels with Hutchinson Sector 28's (tubeless) .... it's a gravel/adventure bike that can take wide tyres and has eyelets for mudguards etc .... the seatpost will be a bit higher when I set it up correctly for my size

Image

as you see it, it weighs just under 10kg .... I I can bring the weight down to 8,5-9kg I will be happy
I've got the same bike as my winter Bike. I would say I love it but i just cant seem to get the brakes to work like discs should. Mine has the Shimano RS505 monstrosity shifters though as it's hydraulic not cave brakes.

They really are not light though! If you do get it down to 8.5kg can you post a thread up for it so I can see how?

We dont really get any winter weather here in the Lower Blue Mountains west of Sydney, its normally clear blue sunny skies and around 15-20c but when it does rain the Norco Threshold performs admirably as a road bike and saves my SuperSix from getting its feet wet too often.

Jeebus, I'd have to have my chiro on speed dial to ride that regularly.

Also, with those wheels and tires, not really a winter bike. But lovely nonetheless.

I think that some people got a bit confused....

it's not 'show me your bike in winter' ....

it's 'what do you ride in winter'

Prior to the UK snow we had some lovely dry days with dry roads, so why not ride some nice wheels to remember the summer? Normally I just have a cheap set of shimano wheels on her.

If you ride an Urgestalt with Obermayers and all that bling in winter, what do you ride in summer?

I wont ride with Obermayers on it in winter, it will have the DT swiss wheels on, im not that daft!

The frame I got for £1,300 so sold my Cipollini Bond to fund for it.

Glad I did as it feels great.

clearance is pretty tight with these tires (38mm g-one) so i normally run the 35mm g-one speed on tarmac. this was after one of the omtm rides.
