BMCs are, for some reason, the only frames I have seen that look decent with discs.

My recollection of Cumbria is that it rains a lot - your mates must be very understanding or maybe they don't mind getting covered in road crap?!!

We all ride similar bikes from Push Cartel, Cipollini's, Parlee's & Looks.

Bikes are never clean at this time of year, it's all good fun though.

Re: mudguards in a group.
There is nothing worse when riding in a group in winter and you have the most perfect mudguard set-up you can manage... and the person in front of you has the short version of SKS raceblades

+ 1.000.000

Do short fendered riders just don’t give a sh!t, or are they just completely without the skills to fix a decent set of fenders.

My new winter bike after the Urgestalt was considered too nice for bad weather.

Sorry, but I seriously don’t get this. How are those bikes in the winter bikes topic? Do you only ride on dry days, or do you just love to spray your fellow riders in the face during 3-5 hours with dirt and roadgrime? And you must love to clean your bike and your kit meticulously after each ride. Something just doesn’t add up. Nobody thinks it’s good fun to spray eachother for several hours.

This topic is not about showing of your most expensive bike. There are other topics for that. Did you even read the OP?

some peopel live in areas where it only gets cold, but doesn't get gross outside. I live right next to the beach and other than getting down in to the 30*F weather, it won't rain or snow.
Or its a winter bike, but they only ride the trainer

You don't need to get it, it's what I ride and they are MY winter bikes as in bikes I use in the winter! in poor weather i.e. rain, gritty roads bit of ice etc.. :noidea:

A group or 12 ish like minded people go out in any weather and ride bikes? Don't worry about the price I get very good deals on them.

In the Summer or April onwards I'll dig out the Orbea Orca which is my summer bike and the best bike i've ridden to date.
