Hey @reedplayer
Good looking bike is that a 12 or 17 deg stem?
Hello Sqashednuts,

thank you, and, yes, "themidge" already answered your question correctly!

Specialised Diverge, with the - IMO - best mudguards in the world. Light, stiff, rattle free, full coverage, sexy and carbon. What's not to like??

Other key fast winter riding features:

- Roval Rapide SLX wheelset
- Conti GP5000 28mm tyres
- SRAM 1x drivetrain - 46mm front, 10-33 rear. Sufficient for the modest hills of the Midlands and no silly ratio gaps
- Berk saddle. Repaired (obviously). With super glue.
- carbonice seatpost clamp, to replace the 30g anchor that came with the bike
- carbon-ti through axles to replace the - actually really light - Specialized axles. Weight saving 3g. Cost, £60. Bugger.

Generally fab and bombproof to ride though...

My 4th winter with this Kona Private Jake

- mix of SRAM 1x11 shifting bits (40x11-42)
- trp mechanical disc brakes
- Schwalbe G-One 40mm set up tubeless
- SKS Longboards mud guards
- Exposure Tracer and Lezyne lights
- and an assortment of parts that were donated form other bikes

It never looks that clean obviously. That was the shakedown ride after rebuilding in the fall. Austrian roads get salted heavily in winter, so it is normaly encrusted with salt crystals.

MY2021 Giant Contend AR 1 with Mudguards
All from the factory spec except the P2M powermeter and praxis chainring.
Just wearing in those Farsport wheels with 240 hubs and 11-25T cassette for my upcoming Orbea Orca in the first two pics
Weight: probably around 10kg with the factory P-R2 wheelset, 32mm tyre and 11-34T cassette, didn't even try to measure the weight with the carbon wheels.
It's a winter bike for riding in the flattest country on Earth after all.

^ That's a smart winter bike, love the colour . Front mudguard looks a little on the short side though, it would work so much better (dry feet!!) if you installed a flap.

Not sure I ever posted mine here, it's something in the region of 10kg. Last winter was a bad one, chain wore out in 2000km and the BB is now seized (luckily it did this after removing the cranks to go on the summer bike), oh and the headset feels like a ratchet. Since this photo I've chopped the steerer - way too short, oops, I guess that makes it a forever bike :D.
