I've always told myself I want a Time despite knowing next to nothing about them. I was recently gifted this frameset and it pretty much confirmed everything I've ever heard. That infamous magic carpet ride quality but stiff enough in the right places to keep up in the pack. This is by all current standards the "slowest" bike I own but I've set pr's on every single ride I've been out on so....

I'd appreciate any bits of history people can put forward as well as maybe some evolution of the models.

My dream was always a VXRS Ulteam but from what I've read this Edge is the next best thing. If anyone could fill me in on what I'd notice moving to an Ulteam frame I'd appreciate the info so I know whether to keep the search going.

Sitting right around 6.8kg (15lb 1oz) without a bottle but otherwise ready to ride I'm content for now but we just got our first snow fall so that may change.

Build:
Frameset: Time Edge TransLink (Size M)
-I'd probably be better on a small then I could use a Time stem since I wouldn't need the -17 but I'll save this for the eventual Ulteam Image

Group: Campagnolo SR 2011
-53-39 x 12-29
-Ceramic Speed pulleys
-Other brakes are probably the first place to save weight since the frame doesn't fit much more than 25c anyways

Wheels: Mavic R-Sys Tubular w/Conti Competitions
-will be going FMB when its new tire time

Cockpit: 3t Arx/Ergonova, Fizik Argo
-oem toper/clamp was broken and I needed something with no setback anyways so I made my own

Accessories:
Time bottle cages (2)
Look Keo TDF edition
Barfly faceplate computer mount
Deda Squalo tape
Tune Skewers

Lovely frame. Always fancied a vxrs.. Tbh nearly bought one but the bmc was too good a deal to pass up.
Enjoy!

How do you find those wheels BTW?

Hubs aren't exact bombproof but I'm a lightweight so I don't have to worry too much, rims are incredible. Lighter than most carbon wheels, stiff but comfy, better braking than some disc setups I've felt.
