Off to Orlando on business in a couple of weekS.
Any recommendations on:

- clubs who I can hook up with
- places to stay within commuting distance of Int Blvd which are more cycle friendly
- recommended routes

Thanks in advance

When I lived in Florida and visited Orlando, I would ride with the Windemere Roadies. They had several groups at different pace levels to fit your abilities.

If you can, you want to drive inland about 30-40 min and ride around in Mt. Dora / Clermont area. That is where the nice empty roads and the hills are (yes, there are hills in Central Florida).

Maybe check with Epic Cycles there to see if they have any group rides planned.

Thanks all - In my research I stumbled across the Horrible Hundred, which I think starts at mount Dora. Can download a route for Garmin which helps.

I will look into other options. Ended up staying in Celebration and hoping I can find some half decent roads for an early morning ride....

Horrible Hundred starts in Clermont. It is a nice route if you have the time. It will take you up and down all the major climbs in that area, including the infamous Sugarloaf Mountain (which is only a mountain by Florida standards, but still challenging nonetheless).
