No, MTBs frames are much longer and have much longer forks & shorter head tubes. Also, that's 650b/27.5".

It's a Norco Search XR C with 27.5x2.1 tyres. The chunkier side of 'Gravel bikes'

This is mine.

Scott Scale frame
Lauf Trailracer fork
Stans Grail rims on Superstar hubs
Sram Force 1, other than XX1 cranks and Rival mech
2.2" Continental tyres
Easton AX50 bar, Specialized Power saddle
A healthy coating of mud.

Weight is just over 10kg as shown in this picture (excluding the mud). I have a few lighter bits that can go on, but I'm not planning to go full WW on this.

I've been pining for a metallic green frame and this Rove ST frameset came up at an unrefusable price.

is the frame a 27", or a 29"
the stem and saddle position look like you've nailed a road position/geometry.
i've looked at the geometry for a 2016 Scale 700 (27"), and its noticeably longer than either my Focus mares, (or Izalco) obviously, its a mountain bike frame.
the closest size for me would have an eTT 41mm longer than the mares, and a reach 23mm longer.
still trying to figure out if i could accommodate with a shorter stem, and zero-setback seatpost

did you have to size down for this frame, in order to

It's a 2016 29" Scale 960 frame. I made it fit in a similar way to what you're considering. Because the TT is longer, the stem is 20-30mm shorter than I'd run on any of my road bikes at 90mm, and I run a minimal offset post where on a road bike I'd run one with some setback. Those changes accommodate the difference in length pretty much perfectly, while keeping the handling a bit more MTB like which makes it more fun on singletrack.

The frame used to be my hardtail MTB until I bought a new one. I threw this together to see if it worked or if it would be better with a slightly smaller frame, but actually it works well enough that I'm considering buying a lighter frame with similar geometry numbers.

I sold my carbon disc cyclocross bike, and need(/want) to sell more bikes before purchasing a replacement. Makes no sense but I upgraded my cheapo (260€ new, but bought for less) B'Twin Triban 100 which I actually really like. Used spare and 2nd hand parts. Good enough, since it's only recreational, for the last races of cross season and some do-it-all rides.

B'twin Triban 100 frame, steel fork, calliper brakes with descent clearance, Sram Apex 1 (42t 11-42 165mm), Van Nicholas titanium seatpost, Selle Italia Milano saddle, VN stem, Bontrager handlebar, Ritchey bartape, Aksium wheelset and Challenge Griffo 33mm open tubulars.

All-in around 10kg
