....
Some of the weight you guys are getting is impressive, I weighed her xxs disc frame at 850g before building.....
probably a glossy, coloured paintjob? that could cause 100 gr of additional weight to the matte version (white, for example, is particularly heavy, because it requires several layers), plus additional weight for the disc version.

usually the weights of those max frames seem to be very reliable. my first one (page 1) weighs 714 gr, the blue one on this page 718 gr. although fork weight as good as identical.

you weighed your wifes frame without bottom bracket and headset?

.......i even found a picture of my 2017 max on the scale. sorry for the 719 instead of 718 gr. i can remember the scale permanently switching between 718 and 719, so i had 718 in mind. it should be quite exactly 718,5 :)

Yes! Do you have any experience with them?

yes, i although purchased my frameset from them!

frameset is in perfect condition, except a very small scratch in the seattube. absolutely no reason to complain, especially when considering the price!

they further forgot to put the stem in the package, but immediately resend it!

apart from that, communication and transaction (best-packed product ever!:-) ) have been flawless.

so, if i would crash my izalco max frame, i would buy there again, without hesitation!

Thanks for the reply, Reedplayer!

That's good to hear - communication has been very good for me as well.
The frame was dispatched yesterday, so hopefully will arrive soon :-)

No, hers is just UD finish with minimal logo's, maybe I'm just misremembering in that case :noidea: either way it's a cracking bike as I only paid £650 for the frameset in mint condition on eBay.

But just realised I weighed it with the RAT’s in so that accounts for most of the weight difference.

Just taken delivery of my Focus frameset:
Frame weighed in at 718 grams including rear derailleur hangar.
Fork weighed in at 292 grams uncut.
After cutting the fork, should be a sub-1kg frameset..!

It came with a FSA Orbit C-33 ACB headset, but I'm wondering if there are any reasonably priced lighter alternatives.
What is everyone using..?

Also looking for a PF30 to Shimano converter. Have used KCNC with success in the past, but thinking of trying out a Wheels Mfg outboard BB with angular contact bearings. Any recommendations?

Izalco Max, I assume? I gotta say, I am intrigued by this frame. External cable routing on mechanical frame is refreshing... if it was a threaded BB (even at the expense of a few grams) it'd be my next purchase.

Yes, Izalco Max.
I'm also a fan of the simple looks of the frame.

Will post pics when I get it built up..!

Also, does the Focus fork not require a crown race?
